HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police have been involved in a chase with the suspects who are wanted in connection with the recent shootings in the Conway area.

According to Horry County Police Capt. John Harrelson, a vehicle matching the description of the shooting from Wednesday on Hemingway Chapel Road was spotted. The chase ended in the area of Hucks Road and Hwy. 701 and several individuals were detained.
Harrelson said they are still searching for least one other suspect.
Horry County Police Chief Joe Hill said police responded to a report of shots fired in the Conway area. The suspects' vehicle was spotted and authorities began chasing it.
According to Hill, the vehicle, which was stolen, was stopped near Hucks Road in the Loris area. One suspect was caught inside the vehicle while two to three others escaped and ran into the woods near the railroad tracks, the chief added

I just got here and listening in, they detained two more and still searching for the one in dreads that escaped into the woods. If they are not from around that county we know in many counties in SC,NC it's not quick sand it's marsh mud you have to watch out for. Unlike in FL or south Georgia this is not easy to swim out of. These people been shooting at cars in Conway SC. One woman had her 7 year old in the car.
