An illegal alien from Mexico who had previously been convicted and imprisoned for raping a minor in the United States was caught and arrested on Monday for illegally re-entering this country, reported U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Francisco Alarcon-Flores, 40, was arrested by Border Patrol agents just east of Nogales, Texas. While doing a criminal records check on Alarcon-Flores, agents discovered that he had been convicted in 2003 in Yankton, South Dakota, on a statutory rape charge.
Alarcon-Flores was sentenced to five years in prison for the rape offense and now he faces prosecution for re-entering the United States as a felon, said the CBP.
