Agreed. This is a real problem with the Reps. That's why we need things like the Tea Party to keep them in check.

"Needing" the Tea Party is like needing a cigar when you have lung cancer.

We need to cut the deficit, and the Tea Parties have done a good job of getting some Republicans to at least talk seriously about cutting spending. Spending needs to be cut dramatically, so if the Tea Partiers are the ones that get that done, we need them now more than ever.

It's what they want to cut that's problem.... and the ignorance.... "Keep your hands off my Medicare"

Right. The Tea Party isn't perfect, but it's just about the best we've got short of a real pro-liberty movement in the US. If the Tea Party could have made Ron Paul a serious contender for President they'd really be getting us somewhere, but they have at least given his son a little momentum.

The real funny part of these is they are true, or is that the sad part, I forget!

Yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy on the right over the government. It doesn't change the fact that we do need fundamental change, and even if some of those calling for it are hypocritical, that doesn't change the importance of what they are arguing for.

It would even be better if they actually believed it themselves (those calling for it). They don't. Not really.

I hope you don't mean to speak for all of those support cutting spending dramatically. If so, you are mistaken.

Cut spending, dramatically, starve the damned beast. I believe it, really.

You mean the politicians who are saying it? Yea, they're lying. There isn't a one of them who doesn't like their daily dose of pork. They're forced to because they do the bidding of those who donated to their campaigns and put them in office.

Forced to? Better to say, they choose to engage in crony capitalism.

Are we not talking about the tea party and people on the right calling for dramatic spending cuts? I think that's much more broad than politicians.
