Jordan is wanted by the Pittsfield Police Department in connection with four fires that were deliberately lit in the city last evening. Jordan was taken into custody without injury to himself or others. The Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office is assisting with the extradition of Jordan to Massachusetts.
On Saturday, at 6:42 PM, the first of 4 suspected arsons were committed in Pittsfield. Residences on Appleton Avenue, Fort Hill Avenue, Ridge Avenue, and Brown Street are all believed to have been intentionally ignited by Phillip Jordan, 58, of Pittsfield. Police say incendiary devices were used in the crimes.
