155 Democrats Sign Letter Backing Hoyer for Majority Leader.....

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer released a letter Tuesday signed by 155 Democratic lawmakers supporting his bid to be the next House majority leader. With the support of at least two-thirds of the incoming Democrats, Hoyer has all the votes he needs to take the second-ranking leadership spot in the House.

“In the majority, we will have considerable opportunity to effect change and great responsibility to get things done on behalf of our constituents,” the members wrote (https://www.democraticwhip.gov/sites/democraticwhip.house.gov/files/HOYER-ML-Support-Letter-2018.pdf). “We will need a steady, experienced leader over the next two years, who also works to empower our Members and prepare them for future leadership opportunities.

They argued that Hoyer would hold Trump accountable and be able to accomplish things despite the division.

“He was a strong supporter of efforts in 2016 to expand the leadership team, and he is committed to making changes that empower Members further, including by strengthening the Committee process,” they added. “He also brings Members into the room when negotiations are taking place, so that more of us are included in the decisions that are being made. He is an honest broker, and is trusted by everyone in our Caucus.”

There is no doubt in the minds of Reps. Filemon Vela (D-TX) and Seth Moulton that they can dethrone Nancy Pelosi and keep her from the speakership.

Soon after those remarks, a letter began circulating through Congress opposing Pelosi's speaker bid. It now has 17 signatures.

Here are the 17 Democrats currently signed on to the letter to oppose Pelosi. There are a bunch more Democrats who say they won't support her, but have not signed the letter — at least not yet. (Conor Lamb, Abigail Spanberger, Jason Crow, Andy Kim, etc.)

One bright spot for Republicans if Demos go after Trump, they now have to prove intent no matter what law was broken. Comey led the way with that after Hillary broke many laws but she was given a pass based on intent. Besides, house investigations never go anywhere.

I think Pelosi will be speaker and for just two reasons. She is a San Francisco Liberal she is a Billionaire through her husband she raises tons of money for California liberals, no one likes her they like her money, they like her fundraising.

Pelosi is an Italian American lower middle class born and raised in Baltimore Md, she married very well, thats why she talks like a Brooklyn bar maid and has less brains but she thinks shes a true blueblood because her hubby got cash
