The farm bill is a monster. We should never be allowed to throw as much crap in one bill as we find in this one. It is over 800 pages.

Of interest to me, it legalizes hemp derived from cannabis sativa l.

It is an omnibus. It covers dozens of subjects. The cannabis summary is two pages.

Hemp is a wonderful crop, and should've never been made illegal to begin with. It is not useful as an intoxicant, but is very useful for a million other products.

Yep, it was called "ditch weed", and anyone who smoked it could only get a placebo effect. It simply doesn't have enough THC to get you high.

It use to be legal. It was a required crop. 90% was used with Ships. Canvas, rigging and nets.

So, what happens when farmers start tooling their equipment and cultivating their land to grow hemp, then later the government makes it illegal again? Kinda like they did with bump stocks.
