"Have you heard much about President Obama’s $787,000,000,000 economic “stimulus” (now estimated to cost $831,000,000,000) lately? In its last report (http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/what-stimulus_644424.html?nopager=1), published in 2011, the president’s own Council of Economic Advisors released an estimate showing that, for every $317,000 in “stimulus” spending that had by then gone out the door, only one job had been created or saved. Even in Washington, that’s not considered good bang for the buck.

Moreover, that was the fifth consecutive “stimulus” report that showed this number getting progressively worse. Alas, that was the last report we’ve seen. Never mind that Section 1513 of the “stimulus” legislation, which Obama spearheaded and signed into law, requires the executive branch to submit a new report every three months. It reads (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-111hr1enr/pdf/BILLS-111hr1enr.pdf):

“In consultation with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and the Secretary of the Treasury, the Chairperson of the Council of Economic Advisers shall submit quarterly reports to the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives that detail the impact of programs funded through covered funds on employment, estimated economic growth, and other key economic indicators.”

You can ask why but that's like wondering why the Congress hasn't enacted a budget in four years. It's because a budget would embarrass the liberals and they can do as they please. The have the White House, the Senate, and the media. That's enough to dictate.

No, President Obama is not constrained by laws he passes or the Constitution. I realize liberals cheer both since they desperately want a dictator but most of us don't.

What about the Keynesian economic multiplier effect?

Appears the multiplier is negative here, and government doesn't want to report it.

In fact the only positive multiplier effects I've ever seen were CBO projections based on good intentions and not actual facts.

So it was $317K per job.

Why is no one asking where the money went? I have been creating jobs for 20 years, for $317K I could create a landscaping business employing 15 to 20 hard to employ people for three to four years before having to worry about being in the black.

Whose pockets got lined and how do we get it back?
