22 Months, 19 Lawyers, 40 FBI, 2,800 Subpoenas, 500 Search Warrants, 500 Witnesses…
- In his summary to congressional leaders on Sunday, Attorney General William Barr said Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his staff "thoroughly investigated allegations" that members of the Trump presidential campaign and others associated with it "conspired with the Russian government in its efforts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, or sought to obstruct the related federal investigations."
The FBI launched the counter-intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign in July 2016; Mueller took it over the following May, after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed him as special counsel.

According to Barr, in the course of his 22-month probe, Mueller "employed 19 lawyers who were assisted by a team of approximately 40 FBI agents, intelligence forensic accountants, and other professional staff. The Special Counsel issued more than 2,800 subpoenas, executed nearly 500 search warrants, obtained more than 230 orders for communication records, issued almost 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers (https://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Pen+Register), made 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and interviewed approximately 500 witnesses.

Still unknown: How much did all of that cost us, the taxpayers?

President Trump tweeted in November 2018 that the "Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt" had wasted "more than $40,000,000," but the final tally has not been released.

The Office of Special Counsel has posted its direct expenditures through September 30, 2018, as follows:

For the period May 17, 2017 through September 30, 2017: $3,213,695 (https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1015746/download)

For the period October 1, 2017 through March 31, 2018: $4,506,624 (https://www.justice.gov/jmd/page/file/1067411/download)

For the period April 1, 2018 through September 30, 2018: $4,567,533 (https://www.justice.gov/sco/page/file/1120106/download)

That's a total of $9,394,300, by the reckoning of Mueller's office, with 6 months unaccounted for.

While Trump has been exonerated with regard to collusion/cooperation it's pretty well established that Russia committed some shenanigans in the election. That is not a hoax.

Big difference, the entire trump investigation from start to finish was a setup and attempted coup started by Obama Loretta Lynch and Comey.

FBI agents have been busted, fired for colluding against trump, what mueller spent was a drop in the bucket compared to the total cost that least 2 yrs and in the end DOC.

Whats the Verdict !!!!! The democrats have NOTHING, they have been categorically wrong, lying and creating fake news. Not supposition all facts and proven.

Now its time for Obama Lynch, Comey, Brennan and Hillary to be investigated

Why yes, yes it was. I am surprised you are unaware. The DOJ made it clear that Crooked Hillary was not to be prosecuted for her enormously serious security violations. Judgment first. Investigation second.

So this time let's review, once again the entire situation. Let's put everyone under oath and ask them some hard questions. Then let's let a real attorney general make the decision after the investigation is delivered.

Do you think these deeds should go unpunished? Where's the deterrent to this conduct in the future. After all, if we let them get away with it then, why would they stop now?

weve had an investigation and we know that the Russians did in fact assist the DNC/Clinton campaign.

Right. I never quite understood the collusion thing from a terminology point of view. I guess the proper term would be conspiracy or something like that. For me, the much more concerning issue was the one of potential obstruction.
