Expensive energy, never mind that the people the "compassionate" liberals claim to care for get hit the hardest.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported Monday that gasoline expenditures in 2012 for the average U.S. household reached $2,912, or just under 4 percent of income before taxes. This was the highest estimated percentage of household income spent on gasoline in nearly three decades, with the exception of 2008, when the average household spent a similar amount. Gasoline prices averaged $3.63 a gallon in 2012, according to EIA.

Make it damn near impossible to build a refinery or move cheap oil to the U.S. and what do you get?

This.

It's only going to get more expensive the longer you put off infrastructure upgrades.

It does not ahve to be this way, they could be going after green and fosil fuel energy at the same time, but we don't currently have an administration that is the least bit concerned about the poor and middle class.

The sad part is we tried this in 1976 and the people got tired of high energy prices ticked people off, and they abandon green energy for more than a decade, I suspect that this will happen again.

There a lots of people using green energy at the mirco level. It will take off if Big Oil doesn't keep its price down.
