With the tax-filing deadline just days away, California residents are worried that a slew of proposed levies (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/california-dems-bills-new-supermajority) on everything from soft drinks to water to tires and car batteries could soon see even more money going out of their pockets in the state that already has the nation's highest income tax. As Californians grapple with that 13.3 percent income tax – and some leaner-than-usual refunds this year due to the recent federal tax overhaul – lawmakers in Sacramento are looking at a range of other revenue sources. Members of the legislature's Democratic supermajority argue that these new taxes (https://www.foxnews.com/food-drink/california-lawmakers-propose-soda-tax-banning-cola-at-checkout-areas) are vital to shore up the state coffers and to provide crucial services such as repairing crumbling infrastructure, cleaning up toxic wells and fighting obesity.

California is actively trying to create a two class society. The very wealthy and the dependent class. The middle class is being taxed out of existence.

The people in this state are so stupid they voted to keep taxes in place.

If they tax new tires in CA, I will be driving to Las Vegas to run errands.

I would take the wheels off my wife's car and through those in the back of the Tahoe, get them all replaced in one trip.

People need to pay attention to this garbage. There are idiots from Kalifornia that are running for POTUS. If you don't want the rest of the country to be like Kalifornia don't EVER vote for any politician from there.

Yeah, but who wants to live in WV?

I've thought of living there. It's very nice, especially if you like mountains and forests and rivers.

Coal slurry everywhere, cancer, etc.

This sentence should appear next to the "hyperbole" entry in the dictionary.

I've driven through WV a few times. I thought it looked like an attractive place to live.

WVA has some very nice places, yea they have some not as nice places too doesn't everywhere?

At least they don't have people taking a dump in the middle of the sidewalks like they do in SF.

No they do not, Yes they all have homeless issues but SF has the by far biggest issue with poopin on the sidewalks. I go to a large number of big cities east and west coast. There is no comparison.
