Because the last two years have been near totally wasted by our deplorable democrat Congress, and nobody should have to pay for it. That's why.

Didn't (R) control congress prior to the 2018 elections? Why did not the GOP do something useful? Perhaps they are as bad as the Dems.

There's a difference between just biding time as overstuffed baggage and going full bore hoodlum against the president and America, lying like nobody's business and causing all kinds of damage, not least of all to the democrat party, which likely will not recover and should be dissolved anyway.
To answer your question, given that there is nothing really to do but undo what has been done by democrats going all the way back to the Civil War, this congress has been way too caustic to do anything useful toward that objective.

As a group neither the Democrats or Republicans will do anything. The primary source of their power is to tax and spend.

The answer is yes, Peter1469, both the repubs and dems are evil and we must oppose them.

Perhaps you should abandon the two major parties and find out.

To dupe the people
It wasn't just Trump, it was the GOP as well
The tax cuts are just temporary

You mean like how employees deductions for tools can't be claimed any more. As per my tax preparer in a general conversation. But hey it's only the working man

They are temporary for the people, permanent for the corporations. And that is your side's fault.

Trump is the best reason why the Dem party will survive. Otherwise both major establishment parties need to be dissolved. The Bernie movement is big and could do it this time. It could have happened last time but Trump promised the same as Bernie but Trump lied. And the Dems came to the rescue of Hillary, guaranteeing Trump's chances.

Why was Trump so generous with tax cuts this year?
Because the people and or businesses which earn the money should keep as much of it as possible.

When did Trump make the same promises as Bernie Sanders?

Bernie will get 20% or less of the vote. He is a kook.
