Czar Kasich governor of Ohio and one of FAUX News former great conservatives announced his sales tax proposals. He kindly will still leave golf and dance lessons off the list of services that won't be taxed. How nice of him! I was so afraid he would tax these two essential services.

Why have any sales tax or other taxes? Government should run itself like a buisness not a charity.

Now you would have to ask conservative Czar Kasich that question. Google "tax dropper and job creator" and read all about that great conservative!

Why don't we allow individuals to sink or swim on their own merits all taxation can accomplish is redistribution and only taxpayers and landowners should be allowed to vote that would solve alot of this nonsense if we stuck to the principles of our founding fathers.

You are right it does get very confusing. That is why I recommend you find Czar Kasich's website and message him. Ask the great conservative how slashing thousands of jobs as he did and raising taxes fits into his self described world view and politics. Chances are he will insult you as he has insulted about everyone who dare questions him then he will dazzle you with a flurry of double talk that would make Al Gore blush.

People up here often complain about PST/GST/HST (provincial, goods and services which is Federal, harmonized which means combined PST/GST) since it's around 13% for my province and as high as 15% in other provinces, but even though we complain about it we accept that it pays for a lot of social services. I think that a population has to be willing and accepting of that trade-off and that sales tax probably shouldn't be implemented unless the population is for it, or it's an absolute necessity to avoid or correct debt acquired by states/nations.

We have Czars here and mini state Czars aka governors who talk conservative and act like the confiscating socialists they are. I understand the need for roads, fire departments, etc so I accept that but they usually tie in their new "initiatives" to their corporate donors. It's all lies.

No, it's a diaper that's been filled beyond capacity.
