Connecticut's money is moving out — and a lot of it is moving to Florida. It's common knowledge now that Connecticut is seeing an exodus of residents. But are the rich leaving? According to the latest IRS data, they are.

Legislators who hope to solve the state's budget crisis with ever-higher taxes should pay attention. The data are clear:

Those who moved out of Connecticut from 2015 to 2016 took with them more than $6 billion in adjusted gross income, or AGI. People who moved to Connecticut brought with them only about $3.36 billion in AGI. The total net loss to Connecticut: $2.7 billion. In one year. That was in the top five of all states, regardless of population.

As a result of the 2018 election, Democrats retained trifecta control of Connecticut state government. Democrats established trifecta control in 2011.
TrifectasTrifectas influence how hard a party must work to advance its agenda. When one party controls the three vital centers of state political power—the office of the governor, the state House, and the state Senate —Ballotpedia considers that party to control a "trifecta (https://ballotpedia.org/Trifecta)."Trifectas make it easier for the dominant party to pursue its agenda, and more difficult for opposition parties to challenge it.
There are currently 36 trifectas: 22 Republican trifectas and 14 Democratic trifectas. Connecticut (https://ballotpedia.org/Connecticut) is one of the 14 state governments under Democratic control.

When you bring there here, here becomes there.

New Hampshire is a prime example of this principle. People living in the People's Republic of Greater Boston fled to New Hampshire because of the lower taxes and overall cost of living. However, they also brought with them their desire for government to be the ultimate provider of all things. This of course has driven taxes up and in general lowered the standard of living in the Formerly Free State of New Hampshire. My son lived in Merrimack NH and referred to those fleeing The PROGB as Massholes.

Apparently the NE states have become jailers, so to speak. People who move out of the region must now prove they have severed ties within the State, or the State will still demand income taxes.

They are choking themselves.....

Almost everyone is okay with the destruction of the country.

If we were concerned we would already have the number of states needed to call a convention of States to propose amendments.
