Ahahahaha…..Kamala Harris is resetting her campaign. Not only has she stumbled on healthcare but she has been caught in a few lies. Nothing new for the Deviate Demos, huh?

California Senator and presidential candidate Kamala Harris is really having trouble articulating and defending her healthcare policy. As we've previously highlighted (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/01/30/kamala-harris-panicked-reversal-on-single-payer-is-an-embarrassing-campaign-misstep-n2540479), Harris has endorsed Bernie Sanders' radical single-payer healthcare bill, which would effectively outlaw (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/01/30/friendly-reminder-kamala-harris-singlepayer-scheme-would-rip-healthcare-plans-away-from-177-million-americans-n2540444) private insurance in America. During her CNN town hall meeting several months ago, Harris leaned into this consequence of her preferred policy as a feature of the plan. Following a backlash, she attempted to 'clarify' her position, then reverted to doubling down on her support for BernieCare. In a new interview, Harris took another crack (https://freebeacon.com/politics/four-months-later-kamala-clarifies-on-eliminating-private-insurance/) at her answer:

The problem with this new spin is that the legislation she's endorsed actually does ban private coverage. The point she makes in the clip about permitting "supplemental" plans is misleading. Under the bill she's co-sponsored, it would be illegal (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/heres-how-bernie-sanders-medicare-for-all-proposal-would-outlaw-private-healthcare-plans) for Americans to buy any private coverage that would include any services or elements that the government system offers. So any "supplementary" additions would be for care and procedures at the margins, like cosmetic surgery -- and nothing else. Federal bureaucrats would have total control over all core health care options and decisions for every citizen. As we've covered many times, the price tag for Harris' regime is shockingly exorbitant (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2018/07/31/liberals-respond-to-medicare-for-alls-astonishing-price-tag-byattacking-the-koch-brothers-n2505163) and would require giant tax hikes, would be massively disruptive (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/01/30/friendly-reminder-kamala-harris-singlepayer-scheme-would-rip-healthcare-plans-away-from-177-million-americans-n2540444) for many tens of millions of consumers, and would result in worse care, rationing (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/04/09/socialized-healthcare-update-uk-government-rations-eye-surgery-leaving-thousands-to-go-blind-n2544390) and longer wait times. Harris' interview with Jake Tapper was part of a "reset" (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/08/us/politics/kamala-harris-2020-trump.html) that the candidate and campaign reportedly felt like it needs to execute just several months after entering the race:.....snip~

I say leave and since we've already armed so many countries and factions over there: Arm the women when we leave.

I can hear it now:
Husband: You stepped outside without your face covered I will have to beat you now.
Wife: BANG!

Huh? Harris didn't say anything about the US and being overseas. Just lied about the Demos stand on healthcare. Plus she has been caught in a reset of her campaign.

Their erroneous use of the word 'supplemental' is rather telling.... the word, to be legit, would be 'additional'.

Total control of core medical care is enslaving the subjects. Doesn't matter what fancy, decorative words one uses, that is what she supports. Oops!

I was reading an article in Rolling Stone rating all the Democrat candidates. One of the things they use in their rating scheme is " signature apology". Only a couple of Democrats didn't have a signature apology and those were the ones with the lowest rating.

How can you run an inspiring campaign when you need to apologize for your past positions? Does that demonstrate leadership, confidence and strength?

Kamala Harris Tries to Reboot Her Campaign With a Gun Ban.....

California Democrat Senator Kamala Harris is desperately trying to "reboot" (https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2019/05/14/fact-check-kamala-harris-again-misleads-on-single-payer-healthcare-n2546204) her campaign as former Vice President Joe Biden sucks up media oxygen and soars in primary polls.

Today, Harris will announce her plans to ban "AR-15 style" firearms from importation into the U.S. From CBS News (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kamala-harris-would-ban-ar-15-style-assault-weapons-imports-source/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7e&linkId=67410928):

In addition to banning AR-15-style assault weapon imports, Harris would suspend all other assault weapon imports until the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) conducts a study of whether those imports should be permanently stopped under existing law.....snip~
