My chiropractor hates Obama to the point that he really does wish he would die. His exact words yesterday. He's Mr. Republican right wing and all that. Cool enough. He's a good doctor.

Then later yesterday I was telling him how I finally took his advice and am powerwalking with the goal of running in mind and doing exercises and weights. Guess what he said? "There should be a LAW that forces people to exercise." I started laughing because I thought he was joking. He said "No, I'm serious!"

Ha! Imagine that! A guy who thinks seat belt laws are government overreach thinks their should be a law that forces people to exercise.

I'll never for the life of me understand partisans.

I don't get a guy that is totally against Obama and Michelle's good health, nutrition and all that and wishes Obama dead wants a law that would force people to exercise. He about shit a golden goose when they banned smoking in public places. Not that he's for smoking but because it's government overreach. He also went ballistic when NYC had that soda limit thing. You figure it out.

No connection. My dad's a blue dog somewhat like you. No connection between parties and principles. Bush, Obama, a clone of Bush. No difference whatsoever.

Obama cares about the Middle Class ... what have Republicans done for the Middle Class and not to the Middle Class?

Then why's he helping the top 1% and hurting everyone else?

In a related matter. Judas Fucking Priest! Some how on this job I had my coworkers decided to have a cake contest and bring in cakes today. Oh my God, you should have seen it. You would have thought free cock and pussy ways being doled out the way they were creaming over this cake at lunch. I haven't gotten that excited since I learned there were nude photos of Linda Blair on the internet, but I digress.

Now, just what and the hell does that have to do with anything? I looked around the room. THREE of these people have already had that damned surgery to shrink their stomaches, something called bioatric surgery? Whatever it's called you know what I'm talking about. Another is going through the preliminary steps to get it done, and two more probably should. Three are diabetic.

I'm starting to think my chriopractor was right. Twas the most fucked up thing I'd seen in a long time. Why the hell don't they just play Russian Roulette?

America has a war on drugs, but sugar is killing more people.

People are killing themselves. Who cares? they're adults, shouldn't they have a choice of what they want to do with their own bodies??
If women have a right to kill innocent babies in the name of reproductive rights, shouldn't adults have the right to kill themselves in the name of digestive rights?

Tell my conservative chiropractor that. He is Mr. No Government Interferance but thinks there should be a law that forces people to exercise. Personally, I don't give an damn. If someone wants to die a slow obese death who am I to get in the way?

I don't believe there is a comparison to be made there, whether you are pro-life or pro-choice. Allowing abortion is allowing a freedom of choice, whether you agree with that choice or not.

If people want to kill themselves slowly by eating poorly, then that is their right. But I am opposed to paying for their health-related problems, which is why I might support a tax on things like fast food. But then, I live in a country with universal healthcare which changes my opinion vastly. In the US, they would presumably pay for their own health problems so long as they aren't on disability, welfare or whatever.

Because with Obamacare you're paying for it. You should listen to your chiropractor more often.

Some employers are now introducing "employee wellness programs" that essentially penalize employees with unhealthy lifestyles with higher insurance premiums.

We have one now. I support it and it doesn't require all that much from people.

I workout daily. That's kind of beside the point. I just find it funny that Mr.Republican wants a law to force people to workout but was pissed when people in NY were cut off from more than a 40 oz pop. You figure it out.

Probably because under Obamacare we're paying for it. Make sense now?

And you're too damned stupid to see the contradiction.

Missed baiting me hey? Bait this motherfucker!

Baiting you? :rofl:There is no contradiction, bumpkin. That's the point. If the state is forcing us to pay for fatties then it makes good sense to force better eating habits.

Mr. B(aiter) doesn't want the state forcing any type of gun control that might save lives but is OK with the state forcing better eating habits and probably supports smoking bans and all kinds of government overreach. OK then, no contradiction whatsoever!

Thousands of gun control laws on the books now. How many more do we need to "save lives"?
