One-hundred-forty-one people are paid more than a $100,000 per year in the Obama White House, according to the 2011 White House salary report released Friday. Another 201 people on the staff of 454 have compensation ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.

That’s a jump from the final year of President George W. Bush’s administration when 130 people received more than $100,000, and 137 people were paid between $50,000 and $100,000.

More positons in Government and more people being payed more money.

Now isn't there even more hypocrisy coming from this Administration. While preaching to the crowds about these problems didn't happen over-night and they will not be solved over-night. It sure doesn't look like The President is walking the walk.

Under the Bush Administration.....70 less people working for the Admin. Salaries were less than 40,000 dollars. Not only do we see the Hypocrisy with the foreign policy but now with this Economic fiscal crisis this country is in, and that this President seem to be taking advantage of these hard times to make sure his people get paid more money and get more perks. Just how do the 3 that work for Obama for nothing.....get taken care of? Thoughts?

are you saying obama is a hypocrite? why i never... :o :o :D

it's bs and part of a larger overall trend that sees compensation in the upper brackets continuing to rise while middle / lower class wages become stagnant. 90% of the "recovery" has been to the highest tax bracket. it's not a recovery, it is a redistribution of wealth.

step 1. tank the economy

step 2. watch as plunging salaries and unemployment mean people are willing to work for less, do the work of two individuals, take salary cuts, etc.

step 3. company efficiency increases, profits increase

step 4. use profits for more bonuses and higher salaries for upper management rather than return to new hiring

end result is unemployment remains high and shows no sign of improving

In Bush’s 2008 White House salary report, the two lowest-paid of 447 staffers struggled home with $33,400 per year. Another 100 people paid less than $40,000, out of total payroll of $33,193,021.

Obama’s White House is more generous with the taxpayer’s money. Not counting three unpaid employees, no one on Obama’s staff is paid less than $40,000. The two lowest-paid staffers take home $41,000.

Yet,he says Republicans need to be more realistic.....lets not forget he has an Open White House going and what that costs. Plus he is throwing out all kinds of awards to the Arts. Don't get me wrong those Artists may deserve an Award. But it doesnt have to come from the President of the Country. With Parties at the Whie House or under White House expense.

Repubs should be hammering this point home everytime he talks about the economy. Clearly he is concerned about the plight of people that are poor. But it is clear that he is out of touch with the common man. Even while defending taking from the rich and giving to the poor. That line about if we do not take away those tax breask then the poor and elderl will suffer. Then to top it off with Vets will not be taken care of and the Military not paid. Is a str-8 out lie.

Durbin the Senator Whip was talking this shit on TV and he knows damn well that Congress will have to pay the Military. The President can't Veto such a bill.

Personally I feel that any in the Military that have served in an Armed Conflict and or War. Or that are operational 24/7 should be taken care of by this country. Meaning they pay no taxes for land and a home. They get the best medical treatment in the World until the day they die.
Finally that politicians cannot use them as talking points.
