My oh my, we're a flaming leftist idiot until we wake up one morning and realize that we are the ones getting screwed by. . . the flaming leftist idiots.

They should take 100 percent from this POS, it serves him right.

Bill Maher is so covered in douche. It takes him losing his money to realize his entire ideology is completely flawed.

The liberals could only hide behind double taxation of corporations for so long. Once the income tax rate FACIALLY exceeds 50% it becomes very, very difficult to justify, even for the likes of Bill Maher.

Business owners, like myself, particularly in high tax jurisdictions, have known this for some time. Properry tax, sales tax, income tax, federal income, and then both ends of social security put most well above 50% and most liberals don't believe it because they think Mitt Romney pays 14%....that's just on his personal return.

Eventually this is what a social market economy looks like, it has taxation to match....if government spending at all levels is 40% of GDP, that's your effective aggregate tax rate. Eventually you can't run trillion dollar deficits for long. You can hang the carrots of the social market economy in front of the "47%" - that's the easy part, now you have to convince the electorate to actually pay for it and that's going to prove a lot harder.

If he leaves the liberals where will he go? Who wants him?

But he's a prick and he knows it, he's not really apologetic about it, there's nothing really hidden about what he believes in, he wears it on his sleeve.

The GOP didn't handle Mitt's "14%" effective tax rate well. That money was already taxed at the corporate rate of $35% (minus whatever legal deductions).

Plus that taxation physically reduces the value of the shares, so Mitt gets taxed at 15% LTCG plus LOST value attributable to corporate taxation. You basically have to be a masochist to want to be a C Corp in this country.

And I need 2%+1 covered in douche or Ectoplasm!

I don't see how he makes any money at all, who pays that guy to be an asshole, and where do I sign up? I'm just as much of an asshole, I'm just not a bed wetter.

If you're Ford selling F-150s better look at Chevy and have a focus group on Silverado buyers and find out why they buy it. Don't scratch your head wondering they bought it or how they possibly could've passed up on your pick up truck because a billion dollars just walked out the door.

But, he has an audience. When he calls Gov. Palin a **** the simple-minded liberals giggle with each other. They seem to enjoy watching him.

He has an audience of idiots. So does Barack Obama.

THe GOP didn't handle ANYTHING right.

Remember the "Romney is a murderer" crap.

They just rolled over and took it.

I know people who did not vote they were so disgusted with GOP cowardice and reluctance to confront Obama's Chicago style campaign.

When you sign up for "Social Security" you make a contract to have your wages taxed as income. Without this contract, your wages were not taxable as income, because wages are simply a trade of part of your life for some money.

And, when your wages are taxable as income, there is no limit on how much Congress can choose to tax you.

BTW, income taxes of wages is one of the Planks of the Communist Manifesto.

Are you referring to the Social Security Act? It's in there some where. I read it a long time ago. They billed Social Security as voluntary in FDR's time. But, they have pretty much made it mandatory. So, it is no longer a contract, because a contract is voluntary.
The best thing is to swallow our pride and go with the flow. Pay the taxes and avoid them when possible. It could be a lot worse and we certainly deserve worse.

It was never supposed to be a national ID number either. Try to get a kid in school without one, or conduct most banking or credit card transaction.

It IS a national ID number now.

And all my payments into it were stolen, I went into a state teachers retirement system, everything I paid to SS ($7,500) prior to age 30 is gone, because I will not go back to work to earn enough additional quarters to qualify.

I am considering applying for a lot of jobs, then applying for SS disability when I don't get hired, because my hearing is shot.

And a root canal has a purpose that might help someone, Bill is about as useful as a zit.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but you wouldn't happen to have a copy of Elliot Germain's Transfer of Power that you would be willing to get rid off. I've been searching for a copy high and low, with no luck!
