Greetings fellow democracy participants,

You are here because you have found my title interesting. A new petitioning system has gone up on the official whitehouse.gov website. I have for a few years developed a concept that would dramatically change our economic situation from horrible to manageable for the first time in a long time.

Long story made short I have a petition that would put the idea of a check and balance on money as an option for the first time in Washington D.C. A link to a book that explains the concept is included. Help us get this idea on the table. 150 signatures and it goes public on the site and with 100k signatures, Obama's administration will address the petition.

I appreciate any feedback and support we get. Thanks for stopping by.

I'd tell him and his entire administration to resign.

All eight candidates raised their hand. Literally all of them, if offered a debt-reduction deal that’s 10-to-1 in their favor, would simply refuse.

Let’s note for context that in March — just five months ago — Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee released a report on deficit reduction. In it, House GOP officials outlined their ideal cuts-to-revenue ratio, and concluded that “successful” attempts at deficit reduction meet this goal: “85% spending cuts and 15% revenue increases (http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal/2011_06/those_who_wont_take_yes_for_an030606.php).” Roughly speaking, that’s about a 5-to-1 ratio in Republicans’ favor — and this is what GOP officials characterized as their ideal earlier this year.

And yet, as of last night, every Republican running for president believes a 10-to-1 ratio simply isn’t good enough. What’s more, as the video shows, the crowd of Iowa Republicans roared with approval.

As a policy matter, if a 10-to-1 cuts-to-revenue ratio is considered far too liberal for the Republican Party in the 21st century, we can say with certainty the GOP is obviously not serious about debt reduction. We can also say with certainty Republican leaders haven’t the foggiest idea how to shape a coherent approach to fiscal sanity. But last night wasn’t about coherence or sanity; it was about impressing unhinged activists whose connection to reality is tenuous at best.

Regardless, this moment is a keeper. Anyone wanting to know why compromise has been deemed impossible in 2011 need look no further than these eight clowns raising their hand to reject a debt-reduction deal that’s overwhelmingly tilted in their favor.

All you got to do is sign up and create a petition. It's easy and can be done fairly quickly. How many you think you can get to sign it?

I would ask him to stop funding other countries and put the money back here. Don't hurt the ones who really can't find a job that are legal Americans and don't let the fed extensions run out without jobs coming back. Care more about Americans than the ones crossing the borders and stop with the civil wars and drones.

Why do people talk like they can not actually get their message to him? You can if you get 100,000 people to agree with you in 30 days. I can tell you right now there are a lot of people who agree with you. There are many people right no who can not find opportunity and it has nothing to do with them not being worthy of it. I am really trying to generate some thought around options we have not put much effort into. Our system is not perfect and perfection may be unrealistic but that is no excuse not to do better.

This petitioning system is still fairly new that they have now on whitehouse.gov

why does anyone think that Barack Obama is going to pay attention to anyone besides the people who bought and paid for him?

Then start that one and I will sign it.

If you actually read my book; you'd see how my idea would empower our people if I can get it to where it needs to go. Expressing the opinion you are is an indicator of interest in this concept if you give yourself the chance to learn about it. I am confident I this will spread like wildfire once I break the first 150 signatures.

Thought there was a petition to deport Piers Morgan. Fell on deaf ears.

Sounds like democracy, the worst form of government.

Yeah, voting is over rated...

That's why The GOP spent so much cash on trying to suppress it ... they would never want a fair Vote on their policies.
