Guns and ammo sales spark jobs boom
Guns and ammo are selling briskly these days, and that means weapons makers are hiring. Some manufacturers are scrambling to find enough workers.

Mike Weddle, head of maintenance at Dynamic Research Technologies, an ammunition manufacturer in Albany, Mo., says he is adding 10 new hires to his staff of 35. DRT's machine operators make between $10 and $17 an hour -- a healthy paycheck in a region where it's tough to find a job and the cost of living is relatively low.

Jacob Herman, chief operating officer for Red Jacket Firearms in Baton Rouge, La., agrees that finding qualified workers is the biggest hurdle for his business, which has an 18-month long blacklog of orders. Red Jacket, a family-owned company with 30 employees, makes AR15 semiautomatic rifles but has had to stop taking new orders for the time being.

"Finding skilled machinists and advanced skilled labor is one of the biggest problems that we face in getting products out the door," said Herman.

Scare the piss out of the people so they arm themselves to the teeth. And let's not forget the new gestapo and all those bullet and APC purchases.

Looks like your boy has discovered a whole new way to stimulate an economy. At least until the shooting starts due to all the other side effects of his regime.

Hey, I see he's going to create even more jobs by buying more bullets!

Wow, that really deserves our support as a serious jobs program.

Oh, BTW, here's your quiz:

So I have this question for you, Cigar, the alleged businessman. Now you claim to have written a $17K tax check to the IRS, which is really a pretty piddling amount for a guy who claims to own a wildly successful business. Is that also BS or did you use some of the same tax breaks as any oil company? Did you depreciate your equipment? Write off your wage and benefit costs? Depreciate any real property?

And:

are you suggesting that oil companies should get different tax treatment than other businesses? Should all tax deductions be eliminated so that American businesses would face the highest corporate tax rates in the world with no abatement, and then double taxation on dividends on top of that? Do you think that would create jobs or produce more long term revenues for Americans and the Federal government?

The only jobs BO's creates is by padding his cabinet.

Not to mention, a potential for an increased production of Predator drones, which will be necessary to kill all those extra Americans buying more guns, thus creating new jobs replacing the formerly newly created jobs responsible for arming the soon to be dead Americans suspected of being terrorists by Executive Watch.

A Florida Atlantic University student who filed a complaint against his professor after he was ordered to stomp on the name of Jesus has been brought up on academic charges by the school and may no longer attend class, according to documents obtained by Fox News.

The “Notice of Charges” against Ryan Rotela is contrary to a statement the university released late Friday night saying no one had been disciplined as a result of the classroom activity.
“We can confirm that no student has been expelled, suspended or disciplined by the university as a result of any activity that took place during this class,” the university said in a prepared statement.
However, according to a letter written by Associate Dean Rozalia Williams, Rotela is facing a litany of charges – including an alleged violation of the student code of conduct, acts of verbal, written or physical abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment, coercion or other conduct which threaten the health, safety or welfare of any person.”
“In the interim, you may not attend class or contact any of the students involved in this matter – verbally or electronically – or by any other means,” Williams wrote to Rotela. “Please be advised that a Student Affairs hold may be placed on your records until final disposition of the complaint.”
Hiram Sasser, director of litigation at the Liberty Institute (http://www.libertyinstitute.org/), told Fox News the university’s behavior is “outlandish” and called their press release “inaccurate.”
“We believe the university punished him in retaliation for him exposing the class assignment to the public,” Sasser said. “Sadly, it is a testimony to the indoctrination that some of the public schools and universities are engaging in – to demonize anything that was valuable in the culture.”

It is the American way. I saw a sign last week that said, "Warning to tresspasser, due to the high cost of ammo we no longer fire warning shots"
