Indiana’s Supreme Court unanimously upholds Indiana’s voucher program.

Taxcutter says:
The suit brought by ISTA was clearly fatuous and self-serving.

Now, Governor Pence is free to expand this program.

This is good news. Generally, no one cares about what's best for children more than their parents. For those parents who don't give a shit, we still have the public schools.

Now, now, don't you believe the Teachers Union cares about the kids? Didn't their last temper tantrum in Chicago convince you of that?

That's the beauty of the voucher program. Now they can.

I did both. I was an average student in private schools, and when I switched to public, I was so far ahead that I was a straight A student until graduation. I speak from experience, do you?

I agree. I am sure the people that barely go over the limit, still couldnt afford it.
I am sure the cap is not that high either.. It is probably welfare/food stamp high..

TN. I'm not totally against private schools, but many times they promise more that they are worth. And you know a voucher will never cover 100% of the costs depending on the school. At the same time they tend to get mostly the easy to teach and well off kids, leaving the public schools to deal with the rest. Maybe a charter school approach is better, if they can show they can perform.

If too much is taken from public schools to fund vouchers you WILL see a 2 tiered class system in the US. This going backwards and world competitors will eat us for lunch as they already are...

I am not against private schools at all.
I am not against ANY learning facility
And I doubt they cover the FULL expense of it

I'm a Republican and a public school teacher, I have no real problem with vouchers or so called school choice. In Texas it looks like we will be getting a voucher program of $5,000 for each child. To educate a child in public school it starts at $15,000 a year. To educate a low income child it cost $25,000, to educate a Spec. Ed. child it cost $35,000 a year.

The only ones who will be using this will be the rich kids who already go to a private school ( $5,000 will only pay part the cost ) or Homeschools. Vouchers are really for them to help with the cost of not going to a public school.

I went to public school but it was back when the teachers had control of the school room and taught a subject and if you misbehaved you were sent home where your parents explained the error in your ways.; Today our public schools run 25 in the world, not much of a record, no wonder people want more choices. By the way you did good and spelled all your words correctly.
