James Lohr Arrested In Connection To Murder Of Colorado Corrections Director Tom Clements
A white supremacist prison gang member was arrested but another was still being sought for questioning Friday in the death of Colorado's prisons chief as authorities investigated whether the gang had any ties to the killing.

James Lohr was taken into custody early Friday, El Paso County sheriff's spokesman Jeff Kramer said. Lohr was wanted for questioning in the slaying of Department of Corrections Director Tom Clements.

Authorities believe Lohr was in contact with gang associate Evan Ebel days before the killings of Clements and pizza delivery man Nate Leon. Police said they believe Ebel killed Leon and Clements in the days before he died in a shootout in Texas. The motive in the killings isn't clear.

How often does someone get killed answering the door, and there is no robbery?

I cannot imagine a corrections officer answering his door unarmed.

I never answer the door to strangers unarmed, but, I am far from any police assistance, and on a major drug corridor, so, I am never out of reach of a loaded weapon or four.

Of course, this murder could be...well, because of anything. I am familiar with cases where people were shot opening a door. One was a student shot by a man hired by Ghadaffi. One was a man screwing another man's wife. One man was at his door waving good-bye to a friend and another man who'd gotten in an argument with him at a bar shot and killed him. Hell, in a Walmart a few days ago a man in a wheelchair pulled a gun and shot a clerk who had told him his dog had to be on a leash.

I have no idea why this man was killed but I'm not prepared to surrender to paranoia."
