I expect MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, and the New York Times to say, "The people have spoken."

The 5 First Amendment Freedoms Speech The First Amendment says that people have the right to speak freely without government interference.
Press The First Amendment gives the press the right to publish news, information and opinions without government interference. This also means people have the right to publish their own newspapers, newsletters, magazines, etc.
Religion The First Amendment prohibits government from establishing a religion and protects each person's right to practice (or not practice) any faith without government interference.
Petition The First Amendment says that people have the right to appeal to government in favor of or against policies that affect them or that they feel strongly about. This freedom includes the right to gather signatures in support of a cause and to lobby legislative bodies for or against legislation.
Assembly The First Amendment says that people have the right to gather in public to march, protest, demonstrate, carry signs and otherwise express their views in a nonviolent way. It also means people can join and associate with groups and organizations without interference.

So really these people are just assembling for nothing except more anti-constitutional crap. Liberals will be Liberals, and hate America.

No. Most Liberals want stricter gun control, not outlawing all gun ownership. This is hyperpartisan nonsense to say "Liberals" generally would support banning guns, period.

We need violence control.
More so, we need to understand violence and why there is violence. Firearms are just the weapon, not the motivation. You need to understand the motivations. There is a problem in society and in US culture, (in this example - it's a problem everywhere, but more so in the US at this point than most OECD countries).

I would agree on this! Maybe we could start to prosicute the laws on the books to start with!

And agter understanding we need to act, to take those that think it is an acceptable way of life off the streets! Not the guy that goes shooting on the weekend!

We have some violent SEGMENTS in our society.
Subtract that violence from the total, and we are not that violent of a country.
People who live in certain parts of the GOUSA hardly know what violent crime is.

Sorry, but violence is not limited to one segment of society no matter how hard some people want to think that it is isolated to the "ghettos" or certain neighbourhoods. Examples would be domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse. Violence across the board...

It is not LIMITED to one segment but the level of occurrence is higher among some segments than others.

Ask our friend Chloe how much violence there is in her community.
Huge segments of well to do America have little personal experience with violence, the go from safety zone to safety zone.

As I said, some people are insulated from violence.
Even in violent counties(or parishes) violence is clustered.

This is just not true, 90% have no problem with back ground checks but will reisit gun control. Gun control means no one can buy one unless Obama says we can. It is against the constitution.

Yes I was being a shithead!
The reason the back ground check bill failed is that it was not a background check bill, the amendment tree was full of nasty stuff!

A. Gun control is hitting what you aim at. Gun confiscation is what the Liberals seek. Please do not pollute the language.
B. As gun confiscation gets stricter and stricter it approximates outright outlawing of gun ownership.
