how can radio be dying... and talk radio "in urban areas" be prospering?

i'd think the limb-bots are much more numerous in rural areas, btw.

Newspapers as a media are dying.
Talk radio in urban areas is prospering.Internet radio/xm radio is doing pretty good.
On-line news sources are quickly replacing their paper fore bearers, but are still doing very well.

Maybe it's more accurate to say that print media is dying. That much is true.As

As it stands now, 91% of talk radio programs are conservative.

That tells me that the overwhelming majority of listeners are people who need to have their ideology delivered to them everyday. They want or need to have it reinforced, or they need to have their talking points delivered to them via guys like Rushbo and Levin. Daily.

I do. I think internet radio will kill it off. Even new cars are coming with Pandora instead of Sirius / XM.

Pandora is an option, no a replacement. XM is doing just fine. Think sports, for instance.

Anyway, tons of people listen for entertainment.

Yes, that is true. Sirius / XM is just extremely expensive IMO.

I quit listening to talk radio about 2 years ago with it got so stupid I couldn't stand it. They just pander to the lawer class. I think papers are still trying to write the truth but since people don't want to hear the truth, they find it on the internet where factless knowlege abounds.

I am not sure who you were listening to. But much of talk radio is to create controversy an stress. I shifted to classical music for my commute.
