Rachel Maddow made a great point last night.

What weapons will these gut nuts use to hold off America's tanks?
What weapons will these gut nuts use to hold off America's Air Force?
What weapons will these gut nuts use to hold off America's drones?

What weapons do the insurgents in the ME use to stop American tanks, planes and drones?
One mistake you liberal idiots consistently make is in thinking that the military will just go along with any presidential order to attack American civilians. No doubt there will be some, but more likely there will be a helluva lot more joining their fellow citizens in fighting off the government if it came to that. And they will also likely bring their weapons and weapons systems with them.
Keep hoping for a civil war, you just may get what you wish for and it will not be the rout you expect it to be.

Besides, it's illegal for the US government to use military force against Americans.

But the government does? To use against the people? The only true monopoly is the state's monopoly on force.

a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in a town in New Orleans

We fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
(One-two-three, with a-one-two-three)

We looked down the river
(Hut-two)
And we see'd the British come
(Three-four)
And there must have been a hundred of 'em
(Hut-two)
Beatin' on the drums
(Three-four)
They stepped so high
(Hut-two)
And they made their bugles ring
(Three-four)
We stood beside our cotton bales
(Hut-two)
And didn't say a thing
(Two-three-four)

We fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Old Hickory said we could take 'em by surprise
(One-hut, two-three-four)
If we didn't fire our muskets
(One-hut, two-three-four)
'Till we looked 'em in the eye
(One-hut, two-three-four)
We held our fire
(Hut, two-three-four)
'Till we see'd their faces well
Then we opened up our squirrel guns
And really gave 'em - well we

Fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah, they ran through the briars
(One-hup-two)
And they ran through the brambles
(Hup-two-three-four)
And they ran through the bushes
(Hup-two)
Where a rabbit couldn't go
(Hup-two-three-four)
They ran so fast
(Hup-two)
That the hounds couldn't catch 'em
(One-two-three-four)
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
(One-two, hup-two-three-four)

We fired our cannon 'til the barrel melted down
So we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round
We filled his head with cannon balls, and powdered his behind
And when we touched the powder off the gator lost his mind

We fired our guns and the British kept a-comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago
We fired once more and they begin to runnin'
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico

Yeah, they ran through the briars
(Hup-one-two)
And they ran through the brambles
(One-two-three-four)
And they ran through the bushes
(Hup-two)
Where a rabbit couldn't go
(Hup-two-three-four)
They ran so fast
(Hup-two)
That the hounds couldn't catch 'em
(One-two-three-four)
On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
(One-two, hup-two-three-four)

Hut-two-three-four
Sound off, three-four
Hut-two-three-four
Sound off, three-four
Hut-two-three-four
Hut-two-three-four.

The U.S. did not win the War of 1812 and the Battle of New Orleans was actually fought after the war was over but neither side had gotten the word yet. "Sir Percy, where is my IPhone?"

There were Filipino insurrectionist in the Philippine jungles for the duration of the Japanese occupation. The Mau Mau had machetes and terrorism. There is an Ireland now. To make a successful insurrection you need a source of weapons but what you really need, that liberals lack, would be a backbone, brains, and balls.

I love this picture. So simpleminded in it's approach. What you see is the police using mace against some college kids sitting on the ground. Yeah, pretty bad on it's face. But, what it doesn't tell you is why they had to use mace on them.

There was no reason. The police could have gone home.

But that's the reasoning I expect from the right. If the left does it, it's law breaking, if the teacons do it, it's patriotism.

Honestly I did not see much of any threatening from the students. The police could have left at any time really in my opinion by just stepping over them or inbetween them while they were sitting there. When the police go into a peaceful protest on a campus with helmets, clubs, and mace it is more "threatening" than the students simply chanting while sitting on a sidewalk in my opinion. I get that they cleared the tents but was it necessary to arrest them and mace people? I just don't think so.

It's understandable because the police were never truly trapped or in danger though. Were they honestly and truly trapped by these students to the point that they were in any danger? Truly? You have unarmed students sitting on the ground and a group of police officers in riot gear and holding mace. Who is really the danger in that situation? The fact that those students were able to stay passive and peaceful even after they were maced was pretty cool in my opinion. The police officer in charge was very professional and communicated with them well but at the end of the day from the police point of view it was all about asserting their authority. Wouldn't you agree? They wanted to leave a certain way and through a certain route and that's how it was going to be.

At would have to reach a much lower level than we are at and even then it would be suicide. Some of the military would not go along with killing their countrymen but over all it would be a lost effort. We have to do it at the polls with an informed voter.
