While conservative groups had to wait for years and go under deep scrutiny to get tax free status, chocoturd's half-brother get approval for his scam charity in one month, retroactive to 2008.

The Barack H Obama Foundation Received Tax Exempt Status in 30 Days in 2011 (http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/55193)

Let’s go back to May 8, 2011, right in the thick of the IRS targeting activity. The NY Post writes a revealing piece how the Barack H Obama Foundation, run by Obama’s half-brother Malik:
“President Obama’s half-brother runs an off-the-books American charity that claims to support poor Kenyans—but it lies about its federal status and no one knows how it spends its money.”

and
“Malik started his charity the year his brother ran for president. The foundation claims to be a tax-exempt, federally recognized nonprofit. It is not. Nor are there any filings of its expenditures, which the IRS requires of larger charities. Alton Ray Baysden, a former State Department employee at whose Virginia home the charity was founded in 2008, admitted the organization has not even applied for tax-exempt status”,

Because of this, the National Legal and Policy Center, a Washington, DC, watchdog group, made a formal complaint to the IRS and US Post Office that prior week in the beginning of May 2011.
The result? This sunlight on the foundation means that the The Barack H Foundation hurriedly applied for and received tax exempt status in anunprecedented 30 days. Theletter of their approval is currently available on the foundations’ website, which is signed by…. Lois Lerner. On top of it, the status was made retroactive to December 2008.

IRS Sent Same Letter to Democrats That Fed Tea Party Row

The Internal Revenue Service, under pressure after admitting it targeted anti-tax Tea Party groups for scrutiny in recent years, also had its eye on at least three Democratic-leaning organizations seeking nonprofit status.

One of those groups, Emerge America, saw its tax-exempt status denied, forcing it to disclose its donors and pay some taxes. None of the Republican groups have said their applications were rejected.

Progress Texas, another of the organizations, faced the same lines of questioning as the Tea Party groups from the same IRS office that issued letters to the Republican-friendly applicants. A third group, Clean Elections Texas, which supports public funding of campaigns, also received IRS inquiries.

In a statement late yesterday, the tax agency said it had pooled together the politically active nonpartisan applicants -- including a “minority” that were identified because of their names. “It is also important to understand that the group of centralized cases included organizations of all political views,” the IRS said in its statement.

Cigar...if both parties are being targeted by the IRS...then there is a serious leadership problem. Please go find the Captain of this ship and explain to him that you cannot blame it on the iceberg. The fact that he was sound asleep rather than steering this ship when this corruption is revealed is irrelevant, it's his responsibility. The IRS needs to be completely torn down....and built anew.

And heads should roll. These are crimes and the worst sort.

I'm glad we can finally agree on something. Your admitting here it's widespread criminal activity within our IRS is good start, it's your first insight into the total lack of leadership and utter lack of morality that currently dominates our chaos and leaderless government entities. You should take another look too Cigar....if they're trying to convince you their health care or tax initiatives or bigger and more intrusive government policies can be trusted or are best for you....maybe they're yanking your left one? Maybe these massive government entities are corrupt, maybe the Tea Party or the Emerge America liberal group are correct, maybe they do have a point. Maybe they're not so crazy.

Yer waking up, Cupcake, good morning.:undecided:

Nice NAACP distractions won't help you, your thread here spoke of this current IRS committing crimes. Both you and I agreeing it's widespread and it's obvious leadership is insufficient and needs a full review and accounting by we the people.

And I don't understand your cupcake reference, I was speaking to you finally waking up. Finally admitting this is an IRS lack of leadership issue, showing you other entities aren't alone, the IRS is equally corrupt, equally mismanged. Just like everything else this clown Presidents over. Complete and utter catastophe of a Presidency...clearly.

Groups whose names included words like “progressive” or “progress” had their applications for non-profit status approved by the Internal Revenue Service even as the agency put a hold on tea-party applications, USA Today is reporting. (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/05/14/irs-gave-progressives-a-pass-tea-party-groups-put-on-hold/2159983/)USA Today’s review of IRS data showed that in the time that the IRS put a hold on all tea-party applications for non-profit status, groups with liberal names were approved in as little as nine months. Applications from conservative groups, meanwhile, sat in limbo.

How sad.

It is not surprising at all, it happens all the time. It is not a party issue it is a political issue and both parties do it. I allways love to see the list of pardons give my the outgoing presidents. They don't even know who these crooks are but if the money's right they can make it happen.
