Separation of church and state doesn't mean one shouldn't mention religion.

Perry is desperate and is grasping at anything he can right now to improve his standings, all this ad will accomplish is a plea to the christian right to garner some support.. although I personally agree with most of what he is saying in this ad.. It will not go very far.. yes there is something dramitically wrong in the USA, but I don't think it has much to do with Gays in the military or any one or two things you can visibly point to.. I think it has more to do with a gradual decline in morals and in slide into apathy as a whole.. what this country needs is a good enema
