69-32. (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/27/immigration-bill-clears-senate/)

Now the House gets to make changes then there will be a joint committee to try to get the bills to come together.

The right wants boarder security first- and the left likely will not ever accept that.

The left wants amnesty first and there may be enough on the right to cave on that point (with the hope that boarder security will come later (like 1986)).

But it won't (like 1986). The GOP will have slit its own throat if it passes.

What I've read Rand Paul is willing to compromise, border security coupled with amnesty.

Let's see if the Dems compromise, lol.

Compromise with Dems = Republicans cave to the Dem's desires, Dems give up nothing. ONE-WAY STREET.

Could someone please explain to me why the government wants immigration reform when so many Americans are unemployed because there just isn't enough jobs to meet the demands of our population growth?

Yes. The aim is to replace you.

Dems want a larger voter base. And corporations want cheap workers.

And they want their pork too!

Oh wait, Obama assured us he was going to put a stop to that!

Cheap labor. Crony capitalism, the politicians grant this favor to big business in return for campaign contributions to keep them in power.

Government taxes and regulations driving jobs to countries that don't have near as many.

Structural and technological changes reduce the number of workers needed to produce stuff.

Those surveys showing that the U.S. is getting ever further down the rankings as a good place to do business have a direct result in the loss of jobs.

As Greece shows you something liberals cannot grasp, you cannot replace taxpaying private enterprise and private employment with government jobs. At some point, there's no one left to support the government workers.

There are already some GOP Senators with some explaining to do. And maybe unexpected primary opponents to run against.

Can't these blockheads figure it out? We sent them there to block the Dems' hare-brained ideas.

You will notice that the ObamaMedia is very careful not to report this:

As the Washington Examiner's Philip Klein recently reported (http://washingtonexaminer.com/obamacares-tariff-on-hiring-american-workers-still-plagues-immigration-bill/article/2532013): "Under Obamacare, businesses with over 50 workers that employ American citizens without offering them qualifying health insurance could be subject to fines of up to $3,000 per worker. But because newly legalized immigrants wouldn’t be eligible for subsidies on the Obamacare exchanges until after they become citizens – at least 13 years under the Senate bill – businesses could avoid such fines by hiring the new immigrants instead."

As The New Republic (http://www.newrepublic.com/article/113295/immigration-bill-denies-obamacare-undocumented-workers#), Investors' Business Daily (http://news.investors.com/print/blogs-capital-hill/062113-660984-glenn-kessler-fact-check-flop-on-ted-cruz-immigration-obamacare.aspx), and the Washington Examiner (http://washingtonexaminer.com/yes-wapo-the-3000-schumer-rubio-penalty-on-hiring-americans-does-exist/article/2532366?custom_click=rss) have all reported, this problem certainly does exist, and the bill was never amended to fix the problem before it was passed by the Senate on a 68-32 vote Thursday afternoon. "[Registered provisional immigrants] are not subject to mandate and the do not count towards an employer's penalty," Sean Neary, communications director for the Senate Finance Committee, told THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email late Thursday night.

The Democrats have raised their war on the American worker to a new level with this bill. This comes on top of policies that have resulted in workers having full time jobs replaced with part time, thanks DIRECTLY to ObamaCare, having basically all income gains since Obama's election going to the one percent, creating a stock market balloon to enrich that one percent while small savers and the retired get nothing for their savings, and on and on and on.

This, folks is what happens when you have a state media. They simply don't tell the truth because if they did, there would be a revolution against the ruling liberal elite.

Every Republican who voted for this bill should be thrown out of office.
