John Fogerty is one of my all-time favorite performers; IMO he was the *real* talent of the group. Is there any beginning guitarist that hasn't picked out "Proud Mary" to learn???? I know he went solo....but his website says he does still play the occasional concert with CCR. Too bad his brother Tom Fogerty died. The other two original members are still in dispute with the band, but they were easily replaceable. If John's there, it'll be a golden show!

It's a VERY cool guitar, isn't it? John had the guitar specially commissioned to be built in the shape of a baseball bat, with a specific sound, for the song "Centerfield" for his 1986 tour. It was created by master guitar craftsman Philip Kubicki, a former Fender designer. Kubicki created the instrument with hidden tuners, three Seymour Duncan pickups, a shortened neck, and an actual Louisville Slugger brand stamped into it. Fogerty named the guitar "Slugger", and it has been on display in the Baseball Hall of Fame since 2010.

I'm a real Fogerty buff; can you tell? LOL
