As his third year in the White House (http://thepoliticalforums.com/#) draws to a close, President Obama (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/barack-obama-biography/story?id=14563603#.Tu-o83qyDzE) offered a candid assessment of his presidency in an exclusive interview (http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/president-obama-faults-republican-lurch-extremes-divisiveness-dc/story?id=15163372#.Tu-nxHqyDzE) with ABC News' Barbara Walters, accepting some responsibility for the gridlock in Washington (http://thepoliticalforums.com/#) while projecting a sense of optimism for his re-election and America's future.

He also admits that he could have been more resolute in his early dealings with congressional Republicans, a nod that his more compromising approach ultimately angered some parts of his base.

"And, I'd just stay at it... but as a consequence, I think a lot of time was lost that frustrated a lot of people around the country," Obama said. "They want to see action on behalf of some of these issues."

As the president steps up his appeals to voters in the 2012 campaign, the constancy of his values is one theme he will continue to underscore, as well as the steady -- albeit slow -- upward trajectory for the U.S. economy.....snip~

We will have a slow upward trajectory.....the EU wil have a Mild recession. Yeah yeah yeah.....maybe it would be better if we quit spending and spending. Huh? But we know now he will look like for a 6 month Stop-gap measure.

I notice nothing was said about Immigration and Mexico. Why won't anyone ask about Mexico's Economy and that the Drug Cartels are infusing Mexicos economy? That the amount is 11-12% of GDP in Mexico. Why are they being allowed to shoot at our L.E.'s from across the border? Why are their truckers getting to run all over the US? What no reflection on this at all, Mr President?

He's for amnesty but it's political death. Besides, he's beset on all sides. Big business wants more alien labor, Hispanic activists want open borders, and the rest of america wasnts a secure border and a system that meets the needs of natives not foreigners. It's a predicament that is only resolveable by a real position. Too many of our pols are afraid to take one.

Obama is done for. Even Matt Damen is calling him out! He will have no independents or people who don't normally vote on his side this time around.

Whose against it that has a chance at winning?

So they aren't all against it now. Just the ones you think have a chance at winning? LOL Again, that's not the point. What was the purpose of your comment? You really are a member of BO's cult of personality, huh?

pretty good analysis there , what it is going to take is someone who is willing to serve only one term and go after these issues irregardless of what the media and the liberal bleeding hearts have to say.. it is going to take someone with balls of steel to do it though. and so far from the pack I see running it isn't going to happen during this cycle.

U got that right WR.....none of them are a true leader. We have to have one that steps up and is all about the country. Not parties, not political expediency or satisfaction, and one that has the entire backing of the American People even over their own polticians from their states.
