Welcome, fyrenza! I was raised in southern Calif a 60s surfer girl, spent 20 years active duty USAF and retired in Ohio (armpit of the Midwest, but hubby has family here, so.......) I adopted TX as my home state years ago when I was stationed there; that's where my family ended up. So know that I'm already envious of your heat and the fact that you have an ocean nearby (well, it's only the Gulf....but it beats hell out of Lake Erie!)
