U.S. Payroll to Population Rate Shows No Improvement

More Americans working part-time vs. a year ago, but no growth in full-time jobs

by Jenny Marlar and Elizabeth Mendes

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. Payroll to Population employment rate (P2P), as measured by Gallup, was flat in July at 44.7%, unchanged from 44.8% in June 2013 and similar to the 45.0% in July 2012. July's P2P rate is also similar to the 44.9% rate in July 2011.

Gallup's U.S. underemployment rate combines the percentage of adults in the workforce who are unemployed with the percentage working part time but looking for full-time work.

The percentage of part-time workers who want full-time work was 9.4% in July, the same as in June, but up from 8.9% in July 2012.

The Democrats economic policies have proven themselves an abject failure over the last 4 1/2 years and to be appallingly ineffective. Tenths of a difference from July 2011 AFTER Obama spent almost as much on his stimulus in 1 year than Bush did on Iraq during both of his terms.

77% of the jobs (http://p.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/2/part-timer-nation-77-percent-2013-jobs-were-part-t/) created in 2013 were part time. The Democrats have had since 2009 to straighten out the economy, all they've done is rack up trillions more in debt with little to no improvement in the economy. It's time for them to say goodbye in 2014.

You can thank Obama Care for that.

Obama Care will cause up to 65 million (http://waysandmeans.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=294468) of working middle class with good company sponsored health care plans to be tossed into the crappy plans of the exchanges.
