It seems to me that popular music had become more and more about nothing at all.
I was a kid at the end of the cold war and I have notived that popular music back then was pretty political compared to now.
The 90's had a heap of anti-society music.
Now its mostly about nothing. I dont believe generation Y is in control of their pop culture at all. I hear some stuff that means something but not much.
If a kid dares to be upset about anything these days they are called an "emo" or something.
I wish there was more music that was critical of society instead of all this stuff that endorses it.
Cold War music was good.
