Quotes like this are why now that I know something about him, I'm 100% against Santorum.

It has nothing to do with his faith. Romney by all accounts is very religious as well - I'm not Mormon - and I don't hold it against him.

Santorum supporters are playing the "faith card" now which strikes me as BS.

"They have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do, government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulations low, that we shouldn't get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn't get involved in cultural issues. That is not how traditional conservatives view the world."

"There is no such society that I am aware of, where we've had radical individualism and that it succeeds as a culture."

I can see how this might be more aligned with what you are thinking (since you are somewhat anti-libertarian) but for me it's 100% against everything I would want in government.

I do want lower taxes, less regulation, government out of the bedroom, and I appreciate individualism. I think our society is proof of how well that worked in the past.

I'm somewhat against libertarianism too.

I agree with much of that save for the bedroom comment. I think that was poorly worded. I'm not sure what he meant by that. Was he just regerrinmg to gay marriage?

I'm of the opinion that people like this are responsible for ruining the Republican party. It used to stand for limited government. Everything he says refutes that. He is for more regulation? Screw that. Conley is fired up!

As far as his bedroom comments, he's said he's against all forms of birth control and wants to ban pornography, so I don't think it's just about gay marriage.

Is he for higher taxes and more regulations? That is a rather bizarre comment for a Republican to make.

Well that's kinda crazy if he is. I would just point out that he's not against porn because he's a prude but because it's a shitty exploitative industry.

I don't know how anyone could ever be comfortable with government control to that degree. Hell they can't even balance a check book.

It amazes me how the media could not report about all this organization that Santorium allegedly had going on in Iowa. Yet reporting that Paul had the most extensive organization. Then when Santorium pulls this rabbit out of the hat routine, That now all of a sudden say he had this great organization set up thru all 90 districts and all throughout the state. Yet there was no reports of Santorium going from one end of the state to the other.

Now he enters NH and before he can get thru one day the MSMedia has all this shit up on him now. Where was this crap during the debates. Where was anything to show coverage about Santorium. Although here there will be no more of that changing party bullshit, then candidates, once one starts losing.
