Bill Daley tells ABC News that he resigned last week as chief of staff, as first reported by the Los Angeles Times.

Senior administration officials confirm that Jacob “Jack” Lew, the current director of the Office of Management and Budget, will be the new chief of staff.

Daley was brought in to replace Rahm Emanuel, but in November his role was “changed,” with more power given to senior adviser Pete Rouse (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/SIG=13orme4ac/EXP=1327349065/**http%3A//abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/11/role-of-white-house-chief-of-staff-daley-changing/%2520). At the time White House officials insisted the move was in no way a demotion, but it certainly wasn’t a vote of confidence.....snip~

Looks like some other Demos are not happy with Obama. Daley comes from Chicago. But Obama has no problem burning that bridge.

More upheaval for the big O. What does this turnover say about his administration? Nothing good.

It means he's losing his grip. No one wants to work for him. When a president can't get people to work for him you know he has big problems. Most would consider it an honor but not with BO.

Thats his Chief of Staff and the second one to cut tail and run. Tho Emanuel did so for his own grand delusions. Rumor has it he wants to the first Jewish American President. Now Daley is from the Daley family so I can imagine this isn't going over to well. Plus Daley's OL passed away last month. But he was never really part of Obama's inner group. With Jarrett and Axelrod. He even got rid of his buddy Gibbs. Which most belive that was a power struggle in that group of friends.
