1. The greatest threat to world peace comes not from a strong America, but from a weak America.

2. Conservatives revere the United States Military. Liberals are, at best, ambivalent. At worst, liberals express outright contempt for the U.S. Military.

3. Karl Rove was right: After 9/11, liberals offered therapy to our enemies; Conservatives prepared for war.

4. The prison at Guantanamo Bay has (quite literally) saved American lives.

5. Liberals are more concerned with conferring rights upon terrorists and criminals than with protecting decent people.

6. Over the long run, dictatorships kill far more people than the wars that end dictatorships.

7. Iraq proves undeniable 'Truth' #6.

8. Since 2003, more people have been killed in Iran, North Korea, Zimbabwe, Sudan, and Burma than have been killed in Iraq.

9. There are only two ways to ends wars. Victory or Defeat.

10. Free market capitalism is the best, and only, path to prosperity.

11. The American consumer is the greatest force for good in human history. The American military is second.

12. Free trade creates jobs and prevents wars.

13. Taxes are not to low, government spending is too high.

14. Joe the Plumber knows more about economics than President Obama.

15. Paul Krugman is a pathological liar.

16. Targeted Tax cuts are a euphemism for welfare.

17. Reproductive Freedom is a euphemism for murder.

18. Rudy Giuliani personally saved New York City.

19. Liberals want to make America more like Cuba. Their reason for wanting this will always baffle me.

I guess that's why Republicans are siding with Putin against the USA.

"All the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting." George Orwell

I'll just address the top few items that ironically originate from a Vietnam draft dodger. Rush as well as Bush and Cheney were draft dodgers as were many of those listed below. So why is this myth of republican military propaganda still existent? Because war pays, and pays in lots of ways aside from the destruction of other places through expensive technology. It pays in after doing nothing in Congress for America, in doing lobbying for more tools of destruction after doing nothing. The idea of nothing here is quite complex, but a few of our presidents including the first understood this. Two are quoted.

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist....We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together." Dwight D. Eisenhower

"It has indeed been a trying hour for the Republic; but I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working on the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war." Abraham Lincoln in a letter to William F. Elkins, November 21, 1864.

I find it hilarious and not at all surprising who some on the right would side with a Gay Hating Bigot over The President of The United States.

So the next time these Flag Waving Part-Time Patriot Ass-Hole throws up the word "Communist/Socialist" in your face ... tell them to go to Mother Russia.

First of all Rush, Bush and Cheney were not draft dodgers---as much as that fact might destroy one of your leftist talking points. I noticed that left out of your rant was anything that would be close to explaining the leftist contempt for our military and for any war that America was engaged in. Our current sec. of state john Kerry blasted our military and we Vietnam veterans for basically being child murderers. A couple democrap congressmen wanted to charge some of our Marines with the murder of civilians in a wartime setting. Attend any of the leftist run anti war rallies down at D.C. to see the utter contempt they have for our military. Too many examples of leftist contempt for our military to mention here, but the narrative is quite clear in that lefties despise our military.

Isn't it interesting that pacifist john Kerry was a member of VVAW or Vietnam Veterans against war, yet as sec. of. state he has become this blowhard war hawk. Talk about a hypocrite!
