13 Benghazis That Occurred on Bush's Watch Without a Peep from Fox News
The Republican inquisition over the attacks against Americans in Benghazi has never really gone away, but it appears as though in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing and the House Oversight Committee's Benghazi hearings this week there are renewed psycho-histrionics over Benghazi.

Lindsey Graham (http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/inside-politics/2013/may/6/lindsey-graham-dam-about-break-benghazi/) and Fox News Channel (http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/06/fox-hurls-new-benghazi-attacks-full-of-old-tire/193926) in particular are each crapping their cages over new allegations from an alleged whistleblower (http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/07/fox-anchor-bret-baier-botches-benghazi-timeline/193937), while they continue to deal in previously debunked falsehoods (http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/06/fox-hurls-new-benghazi-attacks-full-of-old-tire/193926) about the sequence of events during and following the attacks. Fox News is predictably helming the biggest raft of hooey on the situation -- turning its attention to Hillary Clinton (http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/05/07/fox-news-hillary-clinton-and-the-difference-tha/193954) in an abundantly obvious early move to stymie her presidential run before it even begins.

So I thought I'd revisit some territory I covered back in October (http://thedailybanter.com/2012/10/the-fair-weather-patriotism-of-the-benghazi-gate-conspirators/) as a bit of a refresher -- especially since it appears as if no one, including and especially the traditional press, intends to ask any of these obnoxious, opportunistic liars about why they're so obsessed by this one attack yet they entirely ignored the dozen-plus consulate/embassy attacks that occurred when George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were allegedly "keeping us safe."

The Benghazi attacks (the consulate and the CIA compound) are absolutely not unprecedented even though they're being treated that way by Republicans who are deliberately ignoring anything that happened prior to Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009.

What videos were they blamed on?
Wait, let me rephrase that. What obscure YouTube videos did the administration lie to the American public and blame those attacks on in an attempt on covering up their own incompetence?

5 minutes after the first plane hit the first twin tower, there were reports of Air Traffic Controller Error.

The Attacks were blamed on a Video, after more information was uncovered, that claim was changed.

The World Move On and Move Forward ............... leaving Conservative Republicans in the Bush Years.

It's Friday ... September 13th ... the year 2013 ... Get the Fuck Over it!

Obama is the President of The United States ... Get the Fuck Over it!

Assuming that you aren't lying. The story was changed after the second plane his the other tower. Not perpetuated for two weeks after the attacks in an attempt to cover up the administration's incompetence. Like with Benghazi.
It's hilarious to watch you flop and twitch as you try to make us forget what happened one year ago by bringing up unavoidable attacks that happened during the Bush administration. Who is really stuck in the Bush years?

So let's get this straight ...

... the Right is upset at how long it took for someone in the administration to admit Benghazi what solely a terrorist attack?

... or ... is the Right upset at that there wasn't enough protection?

... or ... is the Right upset that The Intelligence Community didn't see this coming?

What exactly is the Right upset about?

The right is upset because this administration basically told their own citizens to go fuck themselves when they asked for help.

I realize you are too ignorant to understand that or you would not ask these stupid questions.

You don't even know enough to ask the right questions.
We are mad because the state department sent our ambassador into a KNOWN hotbed of terrorist activity with a diminished security force.
...AND... that you tried to blame the lack of security on the republicans by saying that they voted to cut embassy funding when the fact are that more democrats voted to cut funding and in spite of the cut funding, they still had enough money to send Chevy Volts to Geneva.
...AND... that for two weeks this administration lied to the American public as to the cause of the attacks. And when the truth came out they sacrificed four mid level functionaries to cover their asses. But, they weren't fired. Just reassigned. Only to be given back their old jobs as soon as kerry took over.

...AND... that you come on these forums and parrot what has become this administration's stance on the subject. That being "at this point, what difference does it make?".

Good luck in trying to instill common sense facts into these skulls full of lib mush.

If you are a major political party that needs to lash yourself to a lifeboat of minority voters before the demographic tides suck you down to the bottom of the ocean, maybe one easy step would be to stop celebrating the dead racists that led you for many decades. Or you could keep talking about the pile of awesomeness that was fetid swamp creature Jesse Helms, whatever.

Yesterday sardine-faced suck bag Ted Cruz traveled o’er hill and dale to the Heritage Foundation to give a talk for the Jesse Helms Lecture Series, because what better name to attach to an event that calls to mind flights of rhetorical fancy and intellectualism than that of a shambling, bloated, flour-white sack of yard waste like the thankfully dead Senator from the insane state of North Carolina? Ostensibly the lecture series is on the subject of foreign policy, which was one of old Jesse’s lifelong interests, seeing as how he spent half his life as one of the Confederacy’s ambassadors to the United States.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Attempting to quell criticism of his proposal for a limited military mission in Syria, President Obama floated a more modest strategy today, saying that any U.S. action in Syria would have “no objective whatsoever.”

“Let me be clear,” he said in an interview on CNN. “Our goal will not be to effect régime change, or alter the balance of power in Syria, or bring the civil war there to an end. We will simply do something random there for one or two days and then leave.”

“I want to reassure our allies and the people of Syria that what we are about to undertake, if we undertake it at all, will have no purpose or goal,” he said. “This is consistent with U.S. foreign policy of the past.”

While Mr. Obama clearly hoped that his proposal of a brief and pointless intervention in Syria would reassure the international community, it immediately drew howls of protest from U.S. allies, who argued that two days was too open-ended a timeframe for such a mission.

That criticism led White House spokesman Jay Carney to brief reporters later in the day, arguing that the President was willing to scale down the U.S. mission to “twenty-four hours, thirty-six tops.”

“It may take twenty-four hours, but it could also take twelve,” Mr. Carney said.

“Maybe we get in there, take a look around, and get out right away. But however long it takes, one thing will not change: this mission will have no point. The President is resolute about that.”
