I have a music file in an email that i want to post. I have no idea how. Also, would posting such a file from email disclose the email address or other personal information?

Thank you to whomever might know.

Can't you save the file to you hard drive and then post it?

Host on something like photobucket and link it here. I think you can host audio files on photobucket.

jillian: if you need a host to try Capt.'s advice, look no further than https://www.box.com/. This site is fantastic for hosting multimedia files and you can join for free, with a limited amount of space. Only people whom you send the link to will be able to access the file and will be able to stream or download the audio right from the link.

If Capt.'s advice doesn't work, my advice would be to upload the audio on youtube first, then post the link here where it can be easily accessed.

Thanks KC. I'll see what i can do. I might have to set up a new youtube account because my son uses the one we have for auditions, etc. Great idea, though.

Youtube is a great idea. There are audio sites out there, you could also just google "audio host site" and find one. I've uploaded youtube vids and it's not that tough, but it's open to the public. As long as that's not a concern of yours, ain't no thang then.
