As Washington waits for the second season of “House of Cards,” Democrats in the meantime have created their own version to slam Republicans for partisanship that could “threaten to topple” the party, in an email sent Wednesday.
“This fall, go inside the world of the House GOP, where partisanship, brinksmanship, and extremism threaten to topple the House of Cards built by the House Republican Conference,” the email said.
The email, sent by Rep. Louise M. Slaughter (D-N.Y.) and the Democrats of the Rules Committee, includes a mock “GOP House of Cards” title with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) sitting in place of the series’ infamous character, Frank Underwood (D-S.C.).
