25 year old takes a Cougar with a V-6 and turns it into a replica of the Bugatti.....now they are calling this the Cougatti. Built it up and is selling this for 89 grand.....

Starting with a complete 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe, He used fiberglass and composite material to create the Veyron's iconic lines, and laid it all over a tubular steel frame. He then took to the Cougar's interior, covering everything from the seats to the dashboard in genuine leather. The detailed doppelgänger even sports usable back seats, which is something the real million-dollar ride completely lacks. Currently has the vehicle up for sale with a price of $89,000 — less than 1/10th the price of a genuine Veyron.

The "Cougatti" is still distinctly pedestrian, and remains equipped with its original 2.5-liter V6 engine that produces roughly 170 horsepower. This is in stark contrast to the 8-liter 16-cylinder powerplant of the real car, which produces a neck-snapping 1,000 horses.

Thought the Cap might get a kick out of this.....althought CL is out there in the Land of the Fast and Furious. I don't think the Cougatti can hang with the Sport-sters that are all out there and about some Need For Speed!

Sucks for D and myself.....kinda hard to race in and around the city. Not unless you playing Death-Race and get points for picking off pedestrians and animals. I myself have actually been thinking about a Harley or even one of the New Triumphs that are back out..... 8)

My neighbor is a big Harley guy...great bikes.

If I had the money I'd buy that for 89k...there must be something wrong with it besides the weak (relatively) engine, 89k for a unique car like that isn't very much. Think about how much he must have spent on parts and labor :o

Cars have never interested me. Even if I had money out the wazoo it would probably take me a while to buy a new car.

I like reliable cars or trucks but that's a nice looking car just wouldn't pay that price.

I would buy a nice car that would last...probably European luxury, either Benz or Beemer. would depend on how much dough we were talking. i don't like to buy a lot of things but if i buy something, i like for it to be nice and to last. i don't mind paying extra for peace of mind.

In time I would probably wind up doing the same thing. That's the way I am with cars. I have a 2004 Ion and since I'm taking care of it I'll get another 3-4 years out of it for sure.
