The shutdown has cost The United States of America thus far?

$300,000,000 per day x 15 days = $4.5 BILLION

Is this worth fighting a Law that was won already?

While the U.S. government shutdown (http://www.moneymorning.com/tag/government-shutdown) may merely be an afterthought or an inconvenience for some people, it's costing the economy and taxpayers plenty.
So how much does the government shutdown cost?
The daily tab for the government shutdown is a whopping $160 million.
The shutdown cost some $1.6 billion in lost output from the $15.7 trillion U.S. economy in its first week alone, according to global market research firm IHS Inc.
Bloomberg reported that two days into Week 2, the government shutdown cost equaled $2 billion in economic damages - the same amount that heavy rains, flash flooding, and mudslides in 17 Colorado counties cost the state last month.

I would have no problem volunteering, But that was not the point of fearless leader, he had to make these cuts as harsh on the folks as possible.

He never even considered asking for volunteers

Now I know being a selfish liberal, you would never consider donating time and / or money to anything that is what the government is for and the rich that pay taxes into it!

Don't need a flu shot, don't want a flu shot. If I get sick, and need to see a doctor, I'll go see one. And I'll pay to do it too.

And as a student whose tuition is paid for by the VA that isn't currently processing claims, yeah, it kind of does matter to me.

But despite that, I am still okay with it being shutdown. Ever wonder why?

I'm not so certain about that. There are certain things that have a proven record of working better as public than private. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is one such example of this. Even Tennessee Republicans are like, "No, no privatization."

Not initially. "Initially, federal appropriations funded all TVA operations. Appropriations for the TVA power program ended in 1959, and appropriations for TVA’s environmental stewardship and economic development activities were phased out by 1999. TVA is now fully self-financing, funding operations primarily through electricity sales and power system financings." @ http://www.tva.com/abouttva/history.htm
