View Full Version : Obama Transforming America into a 'GESTAPO'

OBAMA: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to a achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as well-funded."
This "civilian national security force" has a budget of $439 billion.
Welcome to Obama's brand of a socialist 'GESTAPO' as he continues to gut our military expenditures to transform America into his own leftist view. Oh, and his need to pussify the Marines by initiating an asexual femanazi dress code just goes to show you the length at which he's pushing his 'GESTAPO' agenda.

That he didn't intend on doing.... or that he's been obstructed from doing? like closing Gitmo

I think you missed the point here. Those things he said in 08 are indeed coming to fruition as pointed out in the OP. His gutting of our military is an ongoing ordeal.
His weakening of our military might can be seen in his failed foreign policy and with his need to create this domestic 'Homeland Security' form of a GESTAPO. His appointment of an SS attorney general in attacking individual states like Arizona from having security on its borders is just another sign of this guy's need and or want to transform America into a GESTAPO state.

I agree that Obama was obstructed from closing Club GITMO. But he never did anything to implement his civilian national security force with funding = to the DoD. When he first proposed it I knew it was B.S. But that is Hope and Change for you.

Cutting DoD spending doesn't = creating a civilian defense force.

He was obstructed after 2011. I do recall he was president during the period of 2009-2011 when he could have closed it if he wanted.

When he tried to close it, it meant bringing the tangos to US prisons. Almost everyone in Congress said not in my district. So both parties obstructed the closure of Club GITMO.

Again, I was combat deployed a lot of that time so I'm asking you because I trust you. I don't remember any attempts to close Gitmo when he first got into office. It was Obamacare or bust. Then in 2011 the Congress beat him to it.
The only reason why Gitmo was on my mind was because of how we do prisoners in the military which is almost (sometimes) like those old movies where the cops showed up with paddy wagons and took everyone in the bar to the police station.

Yes, after his first election he said Club GITMO would be closed in one year. There was lots of talk about moving the tangos to US various prisons, but Congress voted to defund (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/may/20/close-guantanamo-funding-senate-obama) any attempt to move the tangos.

Unlike Abu Ghraib, Gitmo has a lot of people that got netted in the early phases of boots hitting the dirt that probably should have gone home years ago. We held a regular old cab driver for 8 years. Some are AQ, some are Taliban, but all of them deserve trials. We've tortured a lot of them. I dunno. I'm not happy about Gitmo.

The economy no because we have an unaccountable centrally planned economy now thanks to how we set up the Federal Reserve System, but on the civil liberties side, yes, he could have fixed that by sitting on television every night and detailing what the Patriot Act and NDAA did until it shamed Congress into repealing it.
But that would like take effort and time away from golfing. Why be a JFK when you can be a Bush?

And, now, the hope and change meets reality. Millions lose their insurance.

I think healthcare inflation will flatten out and then costs will decrease. Give it time to work.

Not for the younger healthy people who otherwise wouldn't spend money on insurance. I went from 1991-1998 without insurance, and only went to the emergency room once- and I paid that bill on my own.

Creating the 80-20 rule means that insurance companies must raise premiums because now they get only 20% of the premium. If Obama removes even for a year the individual mandate those people who are insured now will pay 3x that to make up for those who now don't have to buy it.
I realize that my piddly ass business degree is weak but this is basic shit here people.

Young people and families use very little of the healthcare dollar.. The biggest chunk goes to premies, the elderly and those with chronic illnesses. I think the number is like 5% of the population uses 60% of the healthcare dollar.
A friend of mine with good insurance had premie twins at 6.5 months.. The bill was nearly a million dollars.
The problem in the industry has been cost shifting.. You pay for those who can't..
The whole objective is to keep people out of the ER and the hospital..
I know it will work and that the results will be measurable.. I saw it happen when my job was to develop healthcare systems.. I expected the numbers to change but NEVER so dramatically.

That's the whole idea of this scam. Get a bunch of young people to sign up to basically subsidize the elderly and the sick. It is another tax on the young who have already been devastated by ObamaNomics. Check the statistics on youth employment if you don't believe it. They are getting hammered by college loans and lack of decent paying jobs as employers cut hours to avoid being nuked by all the costs and problems around ObamaCare.
If the young weren't so naive, they'd realize they are getting absolute fucked by this government and by older generations, including mine. They should pick up the pitchforks and go to D.C.

Right but the young people like me will be paying for old people an other people's preemies. I'm as healthy as a fucking horse. I never get sick and I'm not having any kids any time soon.

That's because of insurance. When doctors and administrators don't have to worry about doing things cheaply, they won't. It's why aspirin costs $15 at the hospital and $4 when you buy it.
That Oklahoma hospital brought down prices so much people from socialized health care Canada are going there for surgeries.
The problem in the industry has been cost shifting.. You pay for those who can't..
And still will.
The whole objective is to keep people out of the ER and the hospital..
By making health care affordable. That won't happen by making everyone buy insurance.

At first the hospitalizations increased for about 6 months... . so the census was high.. After 6 months they fell dramatically.. in areas of adult medicine, Ob/gyn, cardiac care and diabetes.
Once you brought in board certified practitioners everything changed.

The deductibles allow the health insurance company to not have to pay that 80/20 rule on premiums. Most people will never reach their deductible year after year so the insurance companies are going to be making big profits while the insured gets nothing in return.
