Signs of the Republican Party rift between business and the Tea Party are showing up where Democrats most want to see them: in the campaign account of Michelle Nunn, daughter of four-term Georgia Senator Sam Nunn.

“The vast majority of Americans say they don’t want the government to shut down, they want middle ground,” said John Wieland, founder of John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods Inc., who together with his wife penned checks totaling $10,400 to Nunn’s Democratic U.S. Senate bid. In the 2010 midterms, the Wielands each gave $4,800 to the Republican Senate candidate.

“Michelle understands that middle ground, and that’s why we wrote the checks,” Wieland said.

It’s a sentiment shared by some business donors from Virginia to Arkansas, and one Democrats want to spread as the parties vie for control of the Senate in the 2014 midterms.

I thought that Romney was the conservative from hell? and yet his supporters are donating to moderates, and not conservatives?

Kind of makes you wonder why 9 million Conservative voters stayed home in the last election??

Does this suprise anyone under 30? No. We've always said that Republicans and Democrats are the same. They are pro-corporatism and big business.

If you couldn't see who was debating between Obamny you wouldn't have been able to tell them apart.
The Xl you'll love this thread.

Nope. XL has the list somewhere I think of the 100 pts they agreed on. Maybe it's Green Arrow who has it. It was depressing watching the two of them knowing one of them would win.

While Gary Johnson and Jill Stein's debate was interesting, fun, and I came out of it respecting both of them even more.

Codename first a compliment is in order, Im glad you came here, you remind me of the person who Ive always felt was one of the best posters on this forum and who should have been a VIP long ago. I agree with mostly NOTHING he believes in, hes from texas and Im from the place he most likely dislikes the most.
Despite that we have shown each other and each others views with nothing less than MUTUAL RESPECT.
I never called him names or belittled what he believed nor did he ever do that to me and thats Mr Aggravan, a true gentlemen even though is views on politics are misguided :) You remind me of a younger and not as smart :P version of him. Frost and Green Arrow seem also to be gentleman and I dont agree with most of what you guys are about either so far it seems. If the posters on here would keep that level of mutual respect there wouldnt ever be a need for In thread warnings thread bans and being banned to the basement and most importantly decent people being force to act out of character.
Seems the forum is getting more that way than its ever been since ive been here and that makes me happy. I have hopes you and a few others will lead the way :)

I noticed that you left out the part where Romney verbally bitch-slapped the President and made him sit back down. I despise Romney, but even I had to be a little impressed at that.

But anyway, no, if you put down the partisan rhetoric and look at them, there's almost no difference between Obama and Romney. The last debate especially, they spent the whole time agreeing with each other.
