http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gif“We’ve got millions of people — working-class, middle-class people — who are going to be pushed into a regulatory health coverage no man’s land,” Senator Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) warned (http://capsules.kaiserhealthnews.org/?p=16879) last Valentine’s Day. “They are unable to afford the family coverage through their employer and ineligible for the subsidy that could be used by dependents on the exchange.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifOn March 21, 33 Senate Democrats voted (http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00047) for a non-binding resolution against Obamacare’s medical-device (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/03/22/bi-partisan-push-to-repeal-medical-device-tax-gaining-traction-in-senate/) tax. Illinois’s Dick Durbin, Minnesota’s Al Franken, and Maryland’s Barbara Mikulski were among those who decried this job-killing, innovation-crushing 2.3 percent levy on the gross revenues, rather than profits, of health-implement manufacturers. On June 7, 2012, 37 Democrats and 233 Republicans backed (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2012/roll361.xml) Representative Erik Paulsen’s (R., Minn.) bill to kill this cruel, senseless tax (http://paulsen.house.gov/press-releases/paulsen-leads-special-discussion-on-repealing-the-medical-device-tax/).

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifHealth and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded that Obamacare could cost people more money, not less. “These folks will be moving into a really fully insured product for the first time,” she said (http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2013/03/26/sebelius-some-could-see-insurance-premiums-rise/) March 26, “and so there may be a higher cost associated with getting into that market.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gif“I believe that the Affordable Care Act is probably the most complex piece of legislation ever passed by the United States Congress,” Senator Jay Rockefeller (D., W.Va.) lamented (http://washingtonexaminer.com/obamacare-architect-rockefeller-its-beyond-comprehension/article/2526681) April 9. “Tax reform obviously has been huge, too. But up to this point, it is just beyond comprehension.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifIn an April 17 candor attack, Senator Max Baucus (D., Mont.), a key Obamacare engineer, notoriously said (http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/apr/17/sen-max-baucus-health-law-heading-for-train-wreck/), “I just see a huge train wreck coming.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifIn an April 29 candidates’ debate against her ultimately victorious opponent, Mark Sanford (R., S.C.), Democratic nominee Elizabeth Colbert Busch slammed (http://www.buzzfeed.com/katenocera/colbert-busch-calls-obamacare-extremely-problematic)Obamacare. Said the real-life sister of TV comedian Stephen Colbert: “Obamacare is extremely problematic. It is expensive. It is a $500 billion cost [more] than we originally anticipated. It’s cutting into Medicare benefits, and it’s having companies lay off their employees because they are worried about the cost of it. That is extremely problematic. It needs an enormous fix.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifWHEC-TV Rochester asked Senator Charles Schumer (D., N.Y.) to explain rising Empire State health premiums. “It’s in part because of Obamacare,” heconceded (http://washington.cbslocal.com/2013/05/03/schumer-health-insurance-rates-likely-to-spike-obamacare-partly-responsible/) May 3.

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifRepresentative John Larson (D., Conn.) complained that congressional staffers would be thrown into the Obamacare health exchanges. “‘Listen,” he said (http://www.politico.com/story/2013/06/obamacare-lawmakers-health-insurance-92691.html#ixzz2g0JY7ZHQ) June 13 in Politico, “this is simply not fair to these employees.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifObamacare’s Independent Payment Advisory Board “is essentially a health-care rationing body,” former Democratic National chairman Howard Dean, M.D.,opined (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324110404578628542498014414.html) in July 29’s Wall Street Journal. “The IPAB will cause frustration to providers and patients alike, and it will fail to control costs.” The Hill reports (http://thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/316045-obamacare-cost-cutting-board-faces-growing-opposition-from-democrats) that Senator Mark Pryor of Arkansas and Representatives Elizabeth Esty of Connecticut and Ron Barber, Ann Kirkpatrick, and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona — Democrats all — have co-sponsored legislation to padlock IPAB. At least 22 House Democrats favor its abolition.

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gif“The ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class,” Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa Jr. co-wrote in a July 12 letter (http://blogs.wsj.com/corporate-intelligence/2013/07/12/union-letter-obamacare-will-destroy-the-very-health-and-wellbeing-of-workers/) to House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California and Senate majority leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.). “The unintended consequences of the ACA are severe. Perverse incentives are already creating nightmare scenarios.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gifTerence O’Sullivan, president of the Laborers’ International Union of North America, announced (http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/09/12/labor-leader-obamacare-needs-to-be-repealed-if-union-demands-arent-met/) September 11: “If the Affordable Care Act is not fixed, and it destroys the health and welfare funds that we have fought for and stand for, then I believe it needs to be repealed.”

http://nationalreview.com/sites/all/modules/custom/nro/nro_filter/images/bullet_blue.gif“My record on the health-care law has been crystal clear. I voted against it when it was first considered, have voted to repeal it dozens of times, and today voted to defund it,” said (http://www.sfgate.com/technology/businessinsider/article/Here-s-Why-2-Democrats-Voted-To-Defund-Obamacare-4831434.php) Representative Mike McIntyre (D., N.C.), one of two Democrats who stood (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2013/roll478.xml) with all Republicans but one to defund Obamacare on September 20. “The need for health-care reform is clear, but this law is not the right approach for our citizens, communities, and businesses.”

Republicans have been loud in their opposition to Obamacare, probably the worst abortion of a law ever passed, so some may not have noticed that many Democrats are just as opposed, including union leaders who see their membership suffering.

Why won't Obama listen to his own party?

Thats true but they are not opposed to the intent of the law, they are opposed to certain provisions and the are right to be.

When this law was being written anyone with a glimmer of a clue knew it had to laden with errors, it was slapped together piece meal like a hat passed around and you drop you wish in there. Then it was shoved and rushed through congress.

Now thats probably the only way it would have ever passed but as of right now its a mess, Im willing to ive it to the first of the year, to straighten out the website and get the REAL TRUTH out about what the costs are going to be in stone and if and if so how many people will lose thier plan and pay more and how much.

If the first of the year rolls around and its still a mess I will have no qualms saying it sucks.

I get accused of being a left winger thats ok I good with that but what I am is an independent who goes right and left depending on the issue. I like it like that , makes me feel like im only carrying my water and no one elses.

Ok I am tired of fixing typos I am ordering a new KB this thing is deceased.

Many Democrats are pissed that Obama didn't go single payer.

But don't expect the Right to admit that.

Many people are pissed it's not single payer, not just Democrats. The SCOTUS upholding the fact that the government can force you to buy something changed America and not for the good. Single payer wouldn't have done that.

What's the difference between single payer and a single dictator, or a married dictator for that matter?
