Remember when Steve Jobs forced Apple Store associates to shut the fuck up about Apple Maps glitches? No? Well, nothing is perfect. Especially not Obamacare... But just when you think the Obama Administration couldn't stoop any lower, they will find a way to surprise you. CNN has reported that insurance company executives are being coerced by the Obama Administration to keep the issues they find with the Affordable Healthcare Act to themselves. Failure to do so will result in retribution if they publicly come out to criticize the new health care law.

It's funny. The U.S. constantly points out how only Tyrants treat journalist and whittle-blowers like terrorist... While doing the exact same thing of course.

I would bet they threaten jail time for insurance company executives also.

Obama is a bully that acts more like a third world dictator than President of the United States

Wow, did Anderson Cooper fall on his head or something?

It's no secret that insurance policies must now cover pre-existing conditions, etc., and companies must offer their clients such policies.

It's basically about a lobbyist claiming Obama is strong arming insurance company executives to keep quite about the fact that policies must cover things they didn't cover before. And using unnamed executives who are supposedly cowering in fear before Obama to back himself up.

lol. I don't know if Cooper eventually smacked this guy down but he didn't in the video that was posted.

anderson cooper is usually pretty rational. i'd be surprised if he didn't ultimately call them out.

but given who posted the video, i wouldn't be surprised if it was…. er… selective.

I forgot to mention that the lobbyist wasn't called a lobbyist, though that is what he is....and then they played a clip of the lobbyist basically saying Obama shouldn't question his betters.

I thought I was watching FOX! It was totally damage control for the insurance industry: Obama is evil! We are teh awesome! Laughable.

Alright so you are ready to admit that "if you like your doctor and you like your plan, you can keep them" was a lie?

But @grassroots conservative, why would you want to keep a plan that YOU chose, that covers everything YOU need, is affordable to YOU and works for YOU, when the obamacare is SSSOOOO MUCH BETTER for you (whether you agree or not, what the hell do YOU know)? and because is is so much better, you should be MORE THAN HAPPY to pay the extra cost in premiums and deductibles. You just don't know what's good for you. Thank goodness our Glorious Leader knows what's best for you. Peasant.

The health insurance companies are rightly pissed off about the website since they paid big political funding to get this mandate into law. Every day that people are unable to sign up is hurting the health insurance companies projected profit margin. It appears that they believe that Obama's website is screwing them and obviously feel it was done on purpose to hurt their profit expectations.

Now they can't even talk to the media about it without the administration saying their will be consequences if they do. It appears everyone is being screwed by the government and everyone should revolt.

The insurance companies have done their best to screw people. Luckily, states are catching on.

The extreme lengths to which some insurance companies are going to hold on to existing customers at higher price, as the Affordable Care Act fundamentally re-orders the individual insurance market, has caught the attention of state insurance regulators.

The insurance companies argue that it's simply capitalism at work. But regulators don't see it that way. By warning customers that their health insurance plans are being canceled (http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/what-happens-to-people-whose-insurance-is-cancelled-because-of-obamacare) as a result of Obamacare and urging them to secure new insurance plans before the Obamacare launched on Oct. 1, these insurers put their customers at risk of enrolling in plans that were not as good or as affordable as what they could buy on the marketplaces.

With the full corporatist support of our government.

The administration is clearly coercing insurance companies to lie. They coerced banks and mortgage companies to lend money to people without the ability or intention of repaying. They coerce the media, average citizens, private businesses, and, well, everyone and everything. Coercion is what liberals do. They know they don't have a prayer to convince. And, when their plans collapse they blame, most often, the victims of their coercion. We've heard them in the last few years blaming private industry, Republicans, Congress, conservatives, veterans, Americans in general, and anyone and everyone except the guilty parties.

It is hard to feel sorry for insurance companies though when this administration has done so much to make them richer at the expense of the people. Crony corporatism, the best government money can buy.

Trust me I do not feel sorry for insurance companies at all. In fact I think its funny that Obama didn't come through as promised to them.

Only progressives would be suprised that their dumb ass 80-20% rule would create premiums with more shit so they can charge higher prices.

If they are able to make money off of us/US?

GOOD! We've "beaten the odds," as far as wellness is concerned,

and there IS a need for "middle(wo)men."

Insurance is one of the arenas that REQUIRES them,

and I have No Problem paying someone to do a good job for me.

yes. i was one of the "happy-with-my-coverage" folks.
