Obamacare harbinger? Venezuelan government-run health care system collapsing

By Cheryl K. Chumley - The Washington Times Friday, November 8, 2013

Venezuela's government-run health care system is in shambles, with doctors sending cancer patients home and ill citizens suffering everything from tumors to glaucoma.

Doctors in the nation say she’s one of many suffering from government mismanagement of the state-run health care system. Private hospitals are over-tasked, and while the nation has seen the opening of hundreds of clinics, those facilities don’t treat serious illnesses, AP reported.

The far left-wing nuts like Reid won't stop trying unless we stop them. We have our chance come this time next year. Party line Democrat Senators will just fall in line for what ever Reid tells them. I have already put both my Democrat Senators on notice, that if they don't work to repeal Obama Care, they'll never get my vote....ever. Not that it will do any good, but it made me feel better. My only regret is neither of the two Blockhead Senators from California or Harry Reid is up for re-election in 2014.

Government-run medicine is great for politicians and healthy citizens. It's only logical that the people who lose $76,000,000 in a slush fund for the Obamacare rollout should be in charge of your health care.

It's funny how liberals all trumpet how great healthcare is in these banana republic countries, yet they ALL still have their heavy-duty medical stuff done here.

That may be changing here though, once this kicks in, we may be looking to the Cuba's and Venezuela's of the world for our services.

Actually, it will be a boon to the healthcare industry in Mexico. Mexico gets Europeans, Americans, and Canadians here for dental work and a lot of Americans for plastic surgery.

But, the good news is that breast implants are covered by the NHS in England.

@Green Arrow (http://thepoliticalforums.com/member.php?u=868), I thought single payer was not even on the map.

I didn't say it wasn't on the map. I'm sure we will get it eventually, because Obamacare is doomed to fail. What I have said is that Reid, Pelosi, Obama, and co. are not pushing for it, at all. Every now and then, they drop a token acquiescence to it to keep the base happy, but their actions show the truth of the matter.

I'd say his actions are proof enough. He's done absolutely nothing to push for single-payer, and the one time another Democrat pushed for it in 2009 with bipartisan support as an alternative to not-yet-passed Obamacare, Reid smacked it down hard without even considering it.
