*update*

Walker was in a Porsche Carrera GT when the driver somehow lost control of the vehicle (http://www.tmz.com/2013/11/30/paul-walker-dead-dies-car-accident-fatal-fire-crash/).

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/30/paul-walker-dead_n_4366214.html?ncid=webmail1

It then slammed into either a post or a tree and then burst into flames and exploded.

It is not yet known what caused the driver to lose control, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/paul-walker-dies-car-accident-660798) in the 28300 clock of Rye Canyon Loop.

The driver in the fatal crash that killed Paul Walker has reportedly been identified as 38-year-old Roger Rodas (http://www.gossipcop.com/paul-walker-driver-crash-roger-rodas-driving-car-accident-speeding/).

According to local reports, Rodas was the CEO of Always Evolving, an automotive company, and the pair was traveling in his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when the car lost control and struck a tree.

Walker, a car aficionado, was allegedly one of Always Evolving’s owners, and Rodas himself was a former race car driver.

According to TMZ, Walker and Rodas' bodies were burned so badly in the crash that they're currently unidentifiable and their autopsies will be delayed until later this week (http://www.tmz.com/2013/12/01/paul-walker-body-unidentifiable-autopsy/).

A rep for the L.A. County Coroner tells TMZ that the coroner is waiting on both sets of dental records before proceeding.

Drag racing called possible factor

http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/02/showbiz/paul-walker-death/

Santa Clarita, California (CNN) -- Drag racing may have been involved in the fiery crash that killed "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker on Saturday, an investigator said Monday.

Investigators got a phone call tip Sunday suggesting that another car was at the scene when the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, driven by Walker's racing team partner, slammed into a light pole and burst into flames, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Richard Cohen told CNN.

"Naturally, from an investigative standpoint, we need to find out if that is one of the issues," he said.

Even if drag racing was not involved, investigators are looking at the possibility that another car veered in front of the Porsche and caused the crash, Cohen said.

Jim Torp, a car enthusiast who was at the charity event that Walker attended before the wreck, said he doubted drag racing was involved. Walker was smiling as he got into the Porsche minutes earlier.
Torp thought he heard a blast in the distance before the car slammed into a light pole, he said.

"What the first explosion was, I don't know if their tire blew up, because it sounded like a tire blew on the car," Torp told CNN Monday.

Tire skid marks on the asphalt near the crash site, which indicate a car was doing doughnut spins, also are being looked at, Cohen said.
It has not been concluded that they are related to the Walker wreck, he said.

The street has a reputation for fast drivers, which spurred a crackdown by deputies two years ago, he said.
Torp told CNN that he looked closely at the skid marks and concluded they were left by a car with smaller tires.

The Los Angeles County coroner has not officially identified the remains of two people pulled from the mangled and burnt car.

Dental records will be used during an autopsy Monday to confirm who was behind the wheel and who was in the passenger seat, according to Investigator Dana Bee.

Racing not the cause

http://www.nbcnews.com/entertainment/paul-walker-was-real-hero-daughter-heart-soul-his-charity-2D11683842

The Porsche that actor Paul Walker was riding in when he died on Saturday (http://www.today.com/entertainment/fast-furious-actor-paul-walker-dies-car-crash-2D11674408) was traveling at approximately 40 to 45 mph when it came to a bend in the road where the speed limit drops to about 15 mph, a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation told NBC News on Monday.

It was in that vicinity where the driver, Roger Rodas, apparently lost control of the vehicle, ending in the fiery solo accident, the source said.

Walker, 40, and Rodas, 38, were killed at the scene, police said.

Their autopsies were put on hold Monday, as the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office waits for dental X-rays for each man to aid in making the official identifications, said Craig Harvey, chief of the coroner's operations bureau.

With respect, that is reality. If I were in the shoes of a celebrity's relative, I'd probably know first hand exactly how cruel and inquisitive the public is, whether it was my parent or not. Not that I say it's a-ok and peachy, but it is just so. The only alternative would be some kind of censorship. I'd sacrifice my darkest personal privacy if it could protect our right of free expression and unregulated exchange of information. I mean, I'd protest a situation which calls for that but you know what I mean.

Walker died of 'traumatic and thermal injuries,' autopsy concludes

http://www.nbcnews.com/entertainment/paul-walker-died-traumatic-thermal-injuries-autopsy-concludes-2D11689605

Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas died as a result of injuries sustained when the Porsche they were riding in crashed "with a fixed object" on Saturday, the Los Angeles Coroner's office ruled on Wednesday.

Walker, 40, died from the "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries" and Rodas, 38, died from "multiple traumatic injuries."

Both deaths have been ruled to be accidental, the Coroner's office said Wednesday. Toxicology tests are still pending in both cases and could take up to eight weeks to complete.

All I am asking is that posters and the news media show some respect for the family and for the dead. We have become a people with no shame or empathy for others.

You know, ultimately, this kind of reporting is nothing more than opium for the masses. This keeps the rabble's mind off our erosion of freedoms and the utter stupidity and duplicity of our government.

And of course, the biggest hack is the one supporting this.

Basically Exo, who gives a flying fuck about this? I am sorry the guy is dead but I didn't know him, would have never known him, and won't shed any tears over his death nor do I care how he died.

Sheesh

Paul Walker's Father Files Wrongful Death Suit Against Porsche Over Fatal Crash

http://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/paul-walkers-father-files-wrongful-death-suit-against-porsche-over-n470381

The father of late actor Paul Walker has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming the German automaker neglected to install safety features that could have saved the "Fast and Furious" star's life.

The suit says Porsche failed to install an electronic stability control system, which is meant to "protect against" the swerving actions in hypersensitive vehicles, and the vehicle was built with side-door reinforcements "weaker in strength."

The suit also alleges that the car has a defective seat belt design.

The design supposedly "snapped Walker's torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis, flattening his seat and trapping him in a supine position, where he remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and twenty seconds later," the suit says.

Walker's father's lawyers add that the car lacked a breakaway fuel line that would have automatically shut down the fuel flow — and presumably prevented the fire.

The elder Walker is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.

His lawsuit mirrors one filed in September by Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, 17, who is also alleging Porsche's car design is to blame.

The automaker did not immediately respond to a request for comment Friday, but said in a court filing earlier this month that the Carrera GT that Walker was riding in had been "altered" and "improperly maintained."

Daddy's gravy train came to end. He is trying to find another one. Good luck with that, leach: your son was driving with a reckless nut, who completely destroyed that car, and along with it his life and the life of his friend.

Not a chance. The car was modified and Porsche was not driving.
