View Full Version : Obama to Give Wind Farms 30-Year Pass on Eagle Deaths

So these wind farms are killing eagles and Obama gives them a pass to keep on doing it?

Anyone on the left want to defend this crap?

Hundreds of thousands of birds die each year flying into the deadly turbine blades atop the soaring towers that compose wind farms. The rule (http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201310&RIN=1018-AX91) will give wind farms thirty year permits for the “non purposeful take of eagles-that is where the take is associated with but not the purpose of, the activity.’’ The take of eagles is also a euphemism for the slaughter of them.
The wind farms fulfill Obama’s ambitious pursuit of developing renewable energy sources. Unfortunately, some bird species being destroyed by the turbines are not renewable. As a result, Obama finds himself wedged between the ire of opposing green groups. In July, wildlife groups (http://thehill.com/blogs/regwatch/pending-regs/316051-obama-in-center-of-green-fight-over-eagle-deaths) met with administration officials and lobbied against the granting of 30 year permits for energy companies that own the wind farms.

Obama hates eagles just as he hates babies who survive a botched abortion. He thinks both should be killed.

Listen to that silence from the left.

It speaks volumes.

So he just waives federal law without congress?

Those windmills are ugly and pollute the environment just sitting there. When they turn, they kill rare endangered species of birds. They should be taken down and trashed.

Windmills don't have to kill birds. (http://www.gizmag.com/bird-friendly-wind-turbine/23961/)

Yep, Obama doesn't need the congress anymore.

Didn't you get the memo?

The democrats made him King.

I remember when Obama did a kill-off of Gulf Marine Life when the Deepwater Horizon went to Davy Jones locker ... (R-TX) Barton of course apologized to the culprits ... can we get another apology from 'em ?

Windmills don't have to kill birds. (http://www.gizmag.com/bird-friendly-wind-turbine/23961/)

The prototype’s patented "Inner Compression Cone Technology" draws in wind through its wide entrance, pushing it into the more confined space where the turbine blades are located. Green claims that this system can produce double the output of a typical turbine, even when placed closer to the ground than is usual - an impressive increase indeed, and we're keen to see some hard figures on this as the project matures.

The same wind compression tech is also responsible for enabling the turbine's hidden blades to be shorter than is customary, and this renders it significantly quieter in operation, when compared to a traditional wind turbine.

The Compressed Air Enclosed Wind Turbine was created at an estimated cost of US$550 and in order to bring a product to market, Green has teamed up with Sigma Design Company. The process of perfecting the design and manufacturing is expected to take up to two years.

That is very interesting..................

Not for the birds that are dying it isn't.

It is interesting and would make for a good supplement to the power grid- once we modernize it.

Read the posts and links about- the wind mills that we are talking about can't kill birds. (Unlike clear sky scraper glass).
