The FACT that they've exempted themselves from it pretty much tells the tale, eh?

I remember Rep. Pelosi saying they would have passed Obamacare is nobody wanted it. I remember her saying we could find out what was in the law after it was passed. I remember other members of Congress laughing when asked if they'd read the 2,000+ pages of Obamacare that were changing daily. And who has read the 2,000+ pages now and the 10,000+ pages of regulations to go along with it? Let's see? How about no one.

And, do I have confidence in Congress? No. Do I trust Congress, as a group, more than I trust the President? Absolutely. Hundreds of incompetent loons do less damage than one dictator.

Let's face it, the Democrats need some wins on the ACA

The roll out is a disaster, and they are still fudging the numbers they have the business cancelations that are going to be coming up just before next years elections, unless they extend the waver and that will come with lay offs

And as people with the ACA insurance start to have need to use it, they are going to find out that they are in fact loosing their providers. And this is not going to be for better providers but of the first tier doctors. And they are going to see that those deductibles have risen.

The GOP will be introducing a plan in the first quarter that they plan to replace the ACA with! And unless the worries of the ACA turn out to be totally false, it is likely that the American people will rally behind it

What remains to be seen is just how many Democrats are willing to loose their job to stand fast behind the law, we see that they knew that they were getting killed on the budget talks and the one that is being proposed right now has a lot more wins for the republicans than the democrats And while it is not perfect, it is small step in the right direction

If they decide that the ACA is going to cost them their job they may very well toss Obama who is already a lame duck president anyway under the bus!

They passed a bill that wasn't wanted and have written into the law punishments for any who don't kneel and bow their heads so they had their win. Forcing Americans to kneel is what they live for.

It would be good to see the parties fighting to serve not what they see as the interests of the people but what the people do. They shouldn't wet their finger to see which way the wind blows in this or that poll, but should be able to find out from their constituents what we want and don't, and unless it's overwhelming, not act.

At this rate they are going to get creamed in November 2014.

Good find on the website, Chris. I like looking at the Independent's view and then comparing it to the R and D viewpoints. It's an easy guess which way the R's and D's will see things regardless of the topic, but the Independent's viewpoint will tell us which way a vote would go on the topic.

Since the Independent's constitute almost half of American voters, that's a huge chunk of any vote and/or election. http://www.gallup.com/poll/15370/party-affiliation.aspx

I think they do exactly that, just not very effectively. The old joke about an elephant being a mouse built to government specifications comes to mind.

...or, as Lewis Black once said: "The only thing dumber than a Democrat or a Republican is when those pricks work together. You see, in our two-party system, the Democrats are the party of no ideas and the Republicans are the party of bad ideas. It usually goes something like this. A Republican will stand up in Congress and say, "I've got a really bad idea." And a Democrat will immediately jump to his feet and declare, "And I can make it shittier.""

Indeed, it could well be just plain old incompetency. Perhaps not individual but collective incompentency.

I wonder if the GOP is going to try to pass a Bill Eliminating the Months January through March 31.

I completely agree. As the saying goes, "If you want screw something up, give it to a politician. If you really want to screw it up, give it to a committee".

A couple more thoughts on committees:

A committee is a life form with six or more legs and no brain.

The efficiency of a committee meeting is inversely proportional to the number of participants and the time spent on deliberations.

Another example of how the "compassionate" ACA is screwing up people:

It just goes on and on and on and on and . . .

Screwing people is what liberals live for. Hence, the slogan, "lean forward".

One of my key beliefs is that people, on the whole, are basically decent and organizations aren't. Committees are one of the lowest forms of organizations. The government is the hightest form and the most lacking in decency.

There are places you can go where none of that exist.
