Even back in 1948 as a Democrat, Ronald Reagan knew the truth about Economics.

But Reagan later found that he could be more successful as a Republicans telling Conservatives what they want to hear, rather that telling the truth. Therefore he put his name on it: Reaganomics  Now History is Telling The Truth

What Policy are you talking about?

Also ... was what he was saying true or not?

BTW: how's Reaganomics working in your world?

Looks like nothing's working. People tend to think they can control something as diverse as global economies by writing laws. That's because they're stupid.

Mr. Macho prefers attacking the dead. Apparently he thinks Ronald Reagan did tell the truth at least once. That puts him ahead of Glorious Leader.

Not true!

Reagan switched over because J.Edgar Hoover was threatening him to testify in Congress about commies in the Screen Actors Guild, and Hoover suspected Reagan of being too pink!

So in order to save his sorry pink ass, he turned Red Baiter, and started blowing the whistle on his fellow actors in the SAG, destroying careers of innocent people, with his Witch Hunt.

Reaganomics

One succeeded the other failed misrerably.

Jerry rigged charts do not tell the correct story at all.

Paul Volcker of the Fed(appointed by Carter) pinched off the high inflation caused by Nixon destroying the gold standard and defaulting on Bretton Woods foreign debt obligations, which put us on a floating runaway fiat currency that caused stagflation. Also, too many Arab petro dollars being dumped all at once, pushed inflation even higher.

Reagan deserves little credit for this, and it was Nixon who caused the huge inflation spiral with his acts.

The Great Depression had consistent private sector job growth as well. And so did the long Depression. Both of which lasted 10 years or more.

Why would we want to discuss anything on a discussion forum? It's not like the purpose is to have dialogue or anything...

Obamanomics is just damage control for an economy so severely damaged by Wall Street greed and Rethuglican deregulators, that it will not likely recover for many years. It is too little, too late.

Now ask yourself the question; Where are these Rethuglican jobs bills, and what has the Scorched Earth Party done to help average Americans?

And don't try to bullshit me about Reid killing those phony jobs bills, or try to tell me that "strangling the beast" with austerity has helped the economy.

I got an idea ... how about starting a PM campaign ... that will shut down anything you don't want in a discussion.

You don't need a jobs bill to help the economy.

And there was no deregulation. You don't got from 63,000 pages of regulation in 1981 to 74,000+ pages in 2007 and call it 'deregulation.'

Deregulation is defined by an act of removing or reducing the number state or federal regulations. This did not happen.

The jobs added today are mostly low wage temp jobs and burger flipper jobs. There is a net loss of millions of decent paying jobs, and the real unemployment rate is more like 15%. The depression never ended!

Cigar cannot help herself. She is a devout Obamunist!

I understand it's 'your opinion.' I fail to see how it ties into my statement.

Especially since Obama has gotten all the Job Bills that he wanted to introduce passed, they've done zero to actually help the economy, and Obama got re-elected anyway.

There was no obstructionism, but I guess you just wanted that little tidbit somewhere I guess...

So you can have it both ways that jobs are being created consistently, but still be angry that they're low-skill, low wage, service sector jobs and Corporations aren't paying their workers well?

The Government, you know, the one Obama has influence over, cut more 700,000 Jobs to the GOPs delight.

Would you like President Obama to put those employees who we are paying Unemployment to, to maybe do some Infrastructure support?

What 700,000 government jobs have been cut?

And the economy doesn't need any more temporary jobs.
