Why is it necessary to make a public spectacle of this? If they want to get married, just go get married and STFU about it, no one will care. But, to ruin the Rose Parade for the rest of us? I'm sure the sponsors would very much like to know how the public feels as they are the ones spending the money to put the show on in the first place.

Hopefully, during timeouts, they'll keep the cameras on the female cheerleaders, and not the male ones. [Okay, I set that up perfectly for leftists to point out that W was a male cheerleader. I don't care if gays marry. Maybe they could just be a little less flamboyant about it. Hopefully we can finally get past the point where all gay marriages happen on the courthouse steps, or on a float with TV cameras zooming in. Jeez, nobody wants to see that.

Ohh, darn, I said something derogatory toward gay relations. That must mean that I either fear gays, or that I'm secretly gay myself and jealous of dudes that lust after other dudes' anuses. Of course, I also think that peanut butter and tuna sandwiches are gross, so maybe that means I have a repressed desire to eat tuna and pb sandwiches. Or, maybe I fear sandwiches in general. I'm so confused

I don't think any straight guy wants to think about dirt road pillagers because men are fucking ugly. Except me. I'm the one exception to that rule, but in general men are gross whereas women are beautiful. I don't even like watching straight porn because lesbian porn is better.

You can think gay sex is gross but be ok with the gays and want them to be able to get married and shit if they feel like it. If someone wants to shackle themselves to someone for the rest of their life, more power to them. Gays are just as prone to believing fairy tale garbage as anyone else.

Jesus, I need to get away from people I'm turning like almost...compassionate or something.

The CDC stats will show you a serious issue with iv drug use as well, but most of the behaviors can be moraled on about except for the very behavior that is this disease's primary transmission. Homosexual men have brought wrath on themselves and others at a rate far beyond the excuses that are sure to come. They had to hide their lives, they were oppressed and suppressed, they weren't permitted marriage and thus had to act out in some 'underground' status.

Fact is....even today with all the education and awareness efforts, male on male sexual contact continues to cut down young men in their prime, their own behavior responsible...along with some myth that a .5 millimeter piece of latex is considered safe sex. Not to mention other diseases as well, stds, tuberculosis...the sad story continues.

My point is which is more offensive to children (which is why people are upset about the float), a talk of love or rubbers?

Monogamy also prevents diseases. If two people are "clean" and they are monogamous--what they mean by "love" in the float--then how will they catch a disease?

I believe it's romantic garbage but I'm seeing gays aren't immune to the belief in happily ever after, either.

Polygamy doesn't necessarily spread it either, CS. Female homosexuals for example have the lowest transmission rates for HIV, they can sleep with numerous women and not expose themselves. Or others. This is a behavior driven disease. Nothing more, nothing less.

I could be wrong but since the subject of their float was gay marriage then addressing monogamy is appropriate and as a disease deterrent. Polygamy is yet on the table, except in Utah.

Why does "monogamy" need to be addressed on a Rose Bowl Float by highlighting same sex marriage(no such thing as gay marriage)? Maybe monogamy needs to be addressed by our public health officials, male homosexual men especally targeted in attempt to stop their self-genocide.

How do you know they would not permit a polygamist float? Did you attempt to gain a permit or is this a guess? My feeling is that you are guessing now so that you have something to say to me in a rebuttal. You've already attempted a half-assed snark with trying to pretend that I have made the statement that polygamy is currently legal.

My arguments are about speech. You will not be arrested for a pro-polygamy float. You can be arrested for bigamy or polygamy but very few of those "arrests" end in convictions if you do your homework.
